Johnathan got back to me quickly and said that we could do the install of a Disaster prevention kit…read morefor my F350 6.7 power stroke. He is very kind. When he arrived he jumped right to work. I unfortunately did not ask if had done this in the past. He watched some you tube videos before he came to do the install. Needless to say he had never done this before. While I was out there watching / handing tools as needed and such I discovered my Truck was the Ginny pig. So he kept referring back to the YouTube video for instructions on how to install the kit. He did break a heater hose that he did replace free of charge but I had to call him to get him moving on the replacement he was going to have one ordered and delivered and when he could get out here he would. I told him I needed the truck today and he came yesterday to fix it. I drove it to the store and it's only 10 minutes down the road and a hose popped off on my way to the store. So I purchased a screw driver and had to replace the hose myself in order to get it back home. Now let's skip to today. My wife drove the truck to work today and the kit is leaking under the manifold. While he was here he did tell me that he does not warranty aftermarket parts. In the videos I watched they pressure test the kit before the put it back together. This was not done. He did not do this. He is not going to offer any warranties on his labor. I would not recommend Johnathan for any work on any vehicle.

This shop did work for me last year. I had a 79 Trans Am shipped to them. I wanted to largely do…read morecosmetic work on the car as my plan was to eventually flip the car. I was always open and honest about my intentions. I have owned two 2nd generation Firebirds for years. I had both these cars professionally restored by different shops. I had both cars stripped down to sheet metal and had other work done. Both cars were back to me in under 5 months, and the work was first rate. CPR had my car for 8+ months to perform largely cosmetic work (paint, replace interior panels, carpet, headliner, detail engine, new alternator, brake booster etc.) Had I known they would take 8 months with the car, I would had said no to the work. Let me share with you some insight to what I received for roughly $10K in labor charges. All of what you will read was brought to their attention, and I have the texts to prove it and never once did they deny it. So I will give them credit for not denying my concerns. However, as you will see they don't stand behind their work either. The driver sport mirror on the drivers side was not at the proper angle, and it bothered me so have the mirror at an odd angle. When questioned they said they had no idea what it could be. After I looked at my other Firebirds, I figured out the base was on backwards, and thus the mirror was not properly aligned. They backed it off the trailer upon delivery, so there is no way they didn't know it was mounted incorrectly. Remember they are the Pontiac experts, so they knew. That was a 15 minute fix for the shop to remount the mirrors, but yet they let it go. I also want to point out they never painted the sport mirrors leaving 40 year old paint on the mirrors. Then I noticed a load of exterior paint overspray on the passenger's inside window. I'm not sure how they did that but, it was left for me to remove. The engine detailing looked good in photos but upon a closer look, I could see the grease in cracks and hard to get areas. So I got out a rag and Simple Green to detail the engine properly. Low and behold the engine paint came off on my rag. They simply painted over the greasy engine. I cleaned the engine properly and painted it so it would be done correctly. The weather stripping in the doors and trunk was not glued so it came out. The trunk was obvious as it came out of the channel, but the doors I didn't discover until there was a sizable puddle on the front floor mats following a heavy rain. These are simply issues, but spoke volumes about the lack of quality workmanship. In regards to what I hoped was going to be a big selling point (the paint job), the passenger front fender had very noticeable solvent pops on the top where it met the hood. It was so obvious that when the car was sold the carrier company noted the blemishes in the paint on the shipping agreement. By now it was clear to me the shop I trusted didn't care at all about doing anything close to a quality job. In one of my discussions, their excuse was "you wanted it to look good for pictures", and yes, I did say that. However, it didn't mean you have my permission to do sub-par work and charge me full price. They had to know I was expecting quality when I got a call one day and they said we found a rust spot in the door. They wanted to know if I wanted them to bondo over it, sand and paint it, or cut it out and insert new metal. I said "Do it right, and insert the metal." So why would I want everything else to be a quick down and dirty job? I had the car out one day and I went to pump the brakes and I had NO brakes! I mean none--the brake pedal swag back and forth like it was attached to nothing. I jammed on the emergency brake and drove up on a median just feet before the intersection. The shop that fixed it said it was a faulty install on the brake master cylinder. The clip used to connect the brake petal arm to the brake petal rod came lose allowing the brake petal to not function at all. I've asked 3 shops if they have ever seen this malfunction, and all 3 said No. They all said it had to be a faulty installation job. When I pressed CPR on this issue they told me "that is what you get for using cheap parts made in China". If that were true we would be reading about accidents due to these faulty parts on a regular basis. Sadly, they never offered to reimburse me for their faulty work, towing or over charging for the 7 hours to perform engine detailing that was a quick spay can job. In summary the car was tied up for 8 months, I paid on time, and over $10K in labor, and I got at best sloppy work, and knowingly so. Since they never denied my claims, but never offered a refund after being asked, it can only mean to me this level of work is acceptable to this shop. If they somehow try to justify this sloppy work, or say I was just out to make a profit, that should be your warning sign.

I wouldn't have responded but since you did, let me address your 'discrepancies'…read more 1. I realize the picture is not of the console; it's the left panel adjacent to it which MUST BE REMOVED to take the console out. Both left and right panels need to be taken off as I watched a tech from another company do the job correctly after you refused to come by and fix the shoddy work after more than a month of promises to do so. I have included the way it looks now after this company put it back together. They said you put things back together in the WRONG ORDER which is why there was a gap. Additionally you only put a few screws in (the minimum) to hold things together and left the console cigarette lighter disconnected, so they fixed that as well. I've also attached a picture of the hairpin clip they used to fix it which has held up just fine. They actually ordered the clip from the manufacturer but because I had been waiting so long for you to come by and fix it they put this temporary clip on it. They have offered to replace it with the real part for no extra charge but after looking at their solution I believe it will hold up just fine, unlike the one you installed which FELL OFF AFTER ONE DAY and TWO SHORT DRIVES. 2. You certainly did promise to come by and repair the issue for more than a month (originally you estimated at most a week or so). But how long is a customer supposed to wait? I think a month is not acceptable by anyone's standards and after A FULL MONTH went by I got another company to take of it because I couldn't wait forever. Despite all the shoddy workmanship, this is by far the worst part of your business. I understand new customers haven't paid yet so you are interested in doing new work and getting paid while I have already paid you, but I submit to you that reputable businesses take care of unfinished business FIRST. If you don't believe this is true I suggest you take a course in BUSINESS 101. 3. I signed no such waiver before work began. The only thing I signed was the invoice showing the work had been completed. If you had any problems with "self-diagnosed" repair work, why did you accept the job in the first place? And by the way, since my diagnosis was proven to be correct (the original clip was missing, so there was no link between the gear shift lever and the transmission cable), why is this a problem? You had a chance to see that this was indeed the problem before you started the repair, and after it was complete, the transmission was able to be shifted again so it WAS clearly the problem. The real problem was the quality of your repair which only lasted a day. Since the other company put a quality clip on, the car hasn't had any further problems which further demonstrates IT WAS THE PROBLEM. So because I guessed what the problem was, and you confirmed it once you saw it, there is no guarantee on your repair work holding up? That sounds like one big, fat BOGUS excuse for not doing your job correctly. 4. I sent no threatening email. I simply stated that if you weren't going to return to properly fix what I paid for (it had been a whole month of empty promises at this point) or return my money that I was going to post a report online and send a complaint to the BBB. I even told you this was not a threat. I just told you what I was going to do and in fact I did what I said I was going to do. I gave you many outs and all you had to do is live up to your commitments or return my money. You chose to do neither, so here we are. The ownership of the car has not changed in years. My insurance company requires me to be listed as a co-owner in order for my mother's car to be on my insurance. I also help pay the registration for her and take care of maintenance for her so it's convenient. But the car belongs to my mother and always has. She would have enjoyed her stay a lot more if she had a working vehicle when she arrived, thanks (deflect much?). I have already had the car repaired by a reputable mechanic and no, I won't let you come within 20 feet of any of my vehicles after this experience. I have dealt with many auto repair shops, both good and bad, but this is easily the worst I've ever dealt with. By the way, I noticed that your company Facebook page talks about people you've never done work for lying about you? Why would that be? Why would someone that you've never done repair work for make up things about you? You can't be talking about me because this was posted days before I posted my YELP report. After dealing with you, I may have a clue as to why this is. To anyone reading this, does this sound like the web page of a reputable mechanic?

I would have left a better review but I've spent 3 days putting in new bolts and tightening ones…read morethat were left loose. Two sensors were damaged and timing was misaligned which caused me to have to go back and redo the work I paid for originally. Only good thing that can be said is he did communicate.
