A HUGE thumbs up for Austin Auto…read more My wife and I were in Canon City for a weeklong event. On Wednesday of that week We noticed a minor noise coming from the engine. The next morning, The first shop we went to decided it was the water pump as the pulley for it had a slight wobble. The shop manager stated they hadn't replaced a water pump on our model van and his reference books stated that the engine needed to be pulled to replace the pump. They were too busy to take that big of a job on short notice and said that they could do in in a week. We didn't want to wait as we needed to leave Canon City to get back to Seattle. The shop manager provided us with the names and number of a couple of other shops in town and the dealer info in a town 30 miles away. We made the trip to Austin Auto and they confirmed the water pump needed to be replaced but they were booked a couple weeks out. Kevin the shop manager did state that he felt the water pump could be replaced without pulling the engine. We went out to our van to figure out another option. We were in the process of calling the dealer to check with them when Kevin walked out to talk to us. He said he talked to his shop foreman about the water pump replacement and the fact that we were in a bind and were supposed to leave the next day. The shop foreman had experience replacing water pumps on this type of engine and apparently took pity on our situation and said he'd be willing to do the work himself so we could be on our way on schedule. Kevin said they'd be able to have the work done late today or the next depending on how it went! Late the same afternoon Kevin called and said the work was done and we could come and pick up the van. We were ecstatic and so happy that Austin Auto was so helpful and efficient The 3 people we interacted with at Austin Automotive were super nice, patient and helpful in every way. I'm ranking this as the best experience I've ever had with any auto shop. Period.

Vick and his crew replaced my motor, rebuilt my suspension and drivetrain and installed a 4" lift at the same time. All work was finished without any lights on the dashboard and sounding great.
