B&J's is my FAVORITE little treasure! Somehow Amarillo ended up with an amazing shop, yet they hardly receive the recognition I think they deserve. This December, I bought a stunning meteorite ring for my partner from them & they were just as excited about it as I was. Plus, I got a really amazing backstory to alongside my new purchase. I tell everyone I meet about them because the shop is just so neat! My friend of 10 years came into town mid-late last year and I brought her in. She ended up leaving with some amazing oddities (like a baby bat skull! ) & she has boasted about wanting to return asap. They really are the nicest guys you'll meet, with even more amazing stories! These guys replaced the power tubes in my 100 watt guitar amplifier and did a excellent job! Got it done quick too! Really laid back atmosphere, answered all my questions. My wife found an awesome rock from their collection of unique and unusual stones. Worth the drive from Lubbock to Amarillo. read more

Staff is not knowledgeable about most gear... took Japanese Ibanez in and lady wouldn't even look…read moreinto it because it had a sticker, i removed the sticker and still she wouldn't even look it up... A half-trained eye would of recognized right away. Took to pawnshop on 45th and got 500 right away. Had similar experience with collector amps as well. Wouldn't recommend taking gear here much less buy something, they don't know what they're doing. Shop online save yourself the heart ache. Old staff was great... Not the case anymore shop online and for lessons and repair go local, they just want commission here.
