They appears treated me well. Bass guitar repairs or adjustments done in a reasonable timeframe. They didn't make you leave your instrument there waiting in line to be touched by someone. No one talks down to you, etc. read more

I cannot PRAISE the excellent people who make Tarpley's Music the welcomed environment they have made it, enough! From Ken, who has changed the way in which high volume retail establishments are run, and as such, has secured a life-time relationship with those fortunate enough to have been in the store, to Halee and Grace; knowledgeable, personable and each with their own excellence in expertise. Never impatient or pressed for time, have removed the usual demeanor of a salesperson, and in its place, a pleasant state of being in which one feels that there is nothing too small or great to accommodate the customer; Thank you, Ken, Grace and Halee, thank you. History

Established in 1927.

The first Tarpley Music store was operated out of a Shamrock, Texas hardware store back in the early 1920s. Eventually, Clara Tarpley would move to Pampa, Texas and establish Tarpley Music Company in 1927. Over nine decades later and we're now Texas and Eastern New Mexico's leading provider of musical instruments, rentals, repairs, commercial audio/visual installation, and music education services. We're still owned by the same family and are always looking for ways to grow our company by staying on the cutting edge of the music industry, but we haven't forgotten the value and importance of music in schools and the impact music has on the many communities we serve. We strongly believe that music is an important part of life and we're excited to be able to share our passion with so many people across the great state of Texas and the region of Eastern New Mexico!

This December, I bought a stunning meteorite ring for my partner from them & they were just as excited about it as I was. Plus, I got a really amazing backstory to alongside my new purchase. I tell everyone I meet about them because the shop is just so neat! My friend of 10 years came into town mid-late last year and I brought her in. She ended up leaving with some amazing oddities (like a baby bat skull! ) & she has boasted about wanting to return asap. They really are the nicest guys you'll meet, with even more amazing stories! A half-trained eye would of recognized right away. Took to pawnshop on 45th and got 500 right away. Had similar experience with collector amps as well.
