He asks for money upfront, and then asks for more money, and then never shows up to finish the job (in our case painting/sealing our new fence that we had already paid him for). 2+ months over due and it still not done. He rarely responds to texts or calls (once he has most of your money and most of the work done). We asked for our remaining money back so we can paint our new fence ourselves since he never shows up and when he actually responds, it is to put us off yet another week, or two. I'm not usually happy to hand over that much of my paycheck, but this is an investment that will last us for years. Great work, thoughtfully and artfully done. He'll be first on my call list when we're ready to go on to phase three (and beyond). I initially used Ferris Fencing about two years ago to replace all the old, rotted, wooden fence corners on our property with proper pounded, welded H-brace corners. Ferris found a couple days to squeeze our "little project" in between some bigger jobs and got the work done in a timely fashion, working with me to come up with solutions to problems we found along steeper portions of the property, and setting up a safe tie rail, too. Jarret's knowledge of horses and outside-the-box thinking left me with a pretty neat, safe setup. No surprise, then, that I called Ferris Fencing again as the old wooden front fence was on its last legs. We lined out what I was looking for, talked budget, and off they went. I had to leave town before they were finished, and realized there were some details we hadn't talked about. When I returned, I found the project complete, their team remembering details from the last project and simply carrying them through to this phase. They left the place darn near immaculate, leaving behind only skid steer tracks and a beautiful fence and front gate. REALLY nice work. Thanks, Shane, Jarret and Team. See ya next go 'round.
