I hired Ed Benavides to help me with my Allstate fire Claim that happened 12/26/2018. I did not…read morehire him until after my first lowball settlement check was sent to me in my name alone from Allstate before hiring Ed. Ed Benavides gave me poor advice and told me not to accept it and send it back to Allstate. So I did. It was only so Ed could charge me 8% on all settlement checks even this very first check. This is not good advice that is looking out for my best interest of his customer. It was in his best interest only! Next, from the time I signed on the dotted line of hiring Ed Allstate sent Ed the final payout checks. Two checks one equaling $140,000 and one $27,000. I only owed Ed $10,000. He held both of my large Allstate settlement checks for well over 6 months or so not at all looking out for my best interest. I was unable to put my home back together in a timely manner and Allstate would no longer pay for my rental because my problems with my public adjuster was not their problems whether my home was done or not. This caused me great hardship and grief. Ed caused me extreme mental anguish for a very very long time. He is not looking out for the best interest of us vulnerable customers looking for help.. He is only looking to get as much money as he can get in any shape or form no matter what it takes in his own best interest no matter if it hurts your livelihood or not. He had me sign a release form that in one paragraph states I'm not to make a bad review about their company or I will be sued. I fell for this tactic for a while but I came to my senses 2.5 years later realizing that if all my statements are true I cannot be sued. I just want to share my horrible experience with the public. I was a client for over a year & a half. I was only interviewed over the phone when I called for…read moreservice. After a short 10 min conversation, he said he could help me. During the entire time, not once was I asked to come in for a personal meeting as my condition worsened. I am a Design Engineer and design automotive components on a computer program. I was making 6 figures. $$. I I developed an intestinal condition. That blood markers said was an intestinal tumor, even though subsequent test could not locate a tumor. However, it wasn't the stomach that prevented me from working. It was the side affects from the condition. Which was extreme cramping. I couldn't even squeeze my computer Designing mouse without my hand cramping. I Can Not do my job without that ability. I can't use a keyboard for designing. After well over a year I was denied disability. But the explanation made no mention of the cramping issue. When I mentioned that to my lawyer, he requested a re-consideration. (No ability to say why). Months later, that was denied. The final stage (court hearing) came. & I was not coached at all as to the format, or what the judge was looking for. Also, no preliminary test on my ability to connect to the online hearing like I've had with other online appointments I've had. As a result, the Judge could not see me, only hear me. Even though I mentioned the cramping, I believe it was never presented by the lawyer. (Which was switched from my original Lawyer). & The new lawyer requested an additional 3 weeks from making a decision to allow for medical reports from recent Drs appointments,even though I've already submitted an inch thick medical report. I believe all that contributed to the final decision by the Judge denying my claim. My health has declined considerably since filing. I've lost about 35 lbs, since I'm not processing the vitamins & minerals I eat, the cramping issues have worsened. Had I been seen on occasion by your firm, you may have witnessed my decline.. As it is. Your firm declined any attempts to appeal that decision. As a final note. I would not have given over $100,000 for a quarter of that if I was able to continue. I normally select direct deposit and have the preparer fees taken from my refund, which I will never do again. Unfortunately this year, things have changed. I did not get my refund as expected. I submitted a check trace with the IRS and an investigation with Green Dot bank. Green Dot provided me with the information that my checks were already cashed. Which was news to me since I always select DD. They have also provided me with copies of the checks, complete with a signature that is very obviously not mine. Now maybe it was stolen from the mail and I wanted to give Mr. Williams benefit of the doubt. However, when I asked if he could find out what happened- he went silent after multiple attempts at following up with him. Another suspicious thing is the status in Green Dot shows a status of "Printed by tax preparer" for my refund check. Again I wanted to give him benefit of the doubt, but I think we can all guess what happened there. I am filing charges and hope to get my refund, but it may be awhile. Very stupid on his part, check fraud is a federal crime. Please beware and do not use this company for your tax preparation. Mr. Williams has done this to others, just read the reviews especially on Google.
