Prior to the event, the owner was great and accommodating to my schedule and very understanding when it took me sometime to finalize the event date and contract. However, as soon as I paid the money for our event, the owner went MIA on me. We hosted our event 2 months ago, and I've still not received our refundable deposit back. I've texted, called, emailed, and reached out to them on all social media platforms with no resolution. After several weeks, I got one message stating that the owner was out of country, but would be refunding my deposit by the following Monday-that was 3 weeks ago. The venue is not worth all the hassle of chasing them down-there are plenty of other places in Chicago who are more professional and trustworthy.

It took a lot to find parking and to actually recognize the event parking that was located next-door. The business to the right of the venue does not offer parking to my knowledge. The venue honestly has enough space for maybe six cars. Granted the venue isn't that big but it's definitely bigger than six cars worth of people. The inside is very industrial. It has a loft vibe. There is a small bar and one bathroom. Depending on how busy the space can be it could be very inconvenient with only one restroom. Especially if the bar kitchen area is occupied and you need another sink. There is a lot of space upstairs which requires walking. I would not suggest putting anything upstairs if you have guests that have leg or knee issues. Older guests will definitely not enjoy having to walk up those stairs for any reason. Overall the space isn't bad. I can imagine one having a small birthday party or another type of shower there. Perhaps even a networking event or something that doesn't require more than 30 people to attend. If you're looking for a small event venue within the perimeter and close to Midtown and the highway I will suggest it. Just be mindful of the parking situation.

Coming here is awesome because not only do I get to learn from awesome professors, but I get a ton of free snacks! Anything from goldfish to gummies to unlimited bananas is available. There is also beer on tap as well as water, coffee or tea. I don't drink alcohol or caffeine so I cannot say how delicious those drinks are but I hear guys who do drink it love it. The water is great though, with free ice! Environment: There are multiple rooms that you can book within the building and that is really nice for team projects/activities/interview/brainstorming/life. They are really modern looking and each floor also has a kitchen filled with snacks. People: Most people in the building are working professionals with companies inside ATV. Other people in the building are renting out office rooms. And the rest are students, sellers, or more tech companies. More perks: Every Friday there is free delicious lunch and a networking opportunity! Why? Because those with the information you might need/want/seek also love free food! So if you're in ATV, go for the free food, or network and pretend you like eating! There is also a rooftop lounge area for those who like sunlight or to work with nature. There is also a gym, but that is one without machines- so if all you need are weights, you're all set! There is parking, but it will cost you. I walk because it is close to where I live, but there rest assured there's parking but don't care too much about money. Hours: This building is open 24/7 and there are even nap rooms! Ms. Dianne, the owner, informed m -- that we would be able to use the kitchen on the night of the graduation. However, on the night of graduation, I received a call from two of my staff who were terrified at Ms. Dianne's treatment of them. While trying to heat food, she rudely told them that the kitchen was not available. When I entered the building, Ms. Dianne made two attempts to argue with me about what she had promised. She spoke loudly, trying to provoke an argument with me. It was as if she did not even know who I was and what she had promised. To make things worst, Ms. Dianne also informed me that via text message -- the kitchen could be used. Further, she referred to my staff as "your posse". I was in disbelief but refused to argue back due to our graduation that was about to start. Anyone who lives in the south understands that her comments of "posse" is indicative of racist and violent language. Thought the overall venue is satisfactory, the treatment of Ms. Dianne towards me and my staff was unthinkable and thus, I and we NEVER use this facility again as a rental. We would also advise any person who is considering using MTG as a rental facility to use extreme caution for there are many sheep in wolves clothing. Thank you!

First of all, please accept this review as constructive criticism.  The building is a house…read moreconverted to a venue.  The event center is downstairs and is very small.  The workers kept walking throughout the performance crossing in front of us.  There was nowhere to place my legs with the card table set-up.  Management did not place my group at the correct table, and they kept inquiring about the number of our table.   Poor service; very unprofessional.  The bar was set up in a corner.  Drinks were weak.   They acted as though this was their first time serving patrons.  We ordered simultaneously, and two of us received their food (a pasta dish and hot wings).  The food was cold.  After 30 minutes, we received chicken tacos, which were soft tacos shells and some substance supposedly chicken.  It looked more like turkey to us; no flavour and extremely cold.  We were totally taken back.  Apparently,  there isn't a functioning kitchen at the facility. Not even sternos to keep the food hot.  Where is the quality?  Why put an event together and it was thrown together?  We try to patronize black owned businesses, but to present that poor quality is a disservice to us.  Then, on top of that, the emcee was a straight-from-the-hood woman with poor grammar that talked on and on about nothing.  Quite simply, jazz is classy music that attracts a certain genre of people.  The band played and moved as though they were auditioning or rehearing.  During the intermission, they presented spoken word.  Horrible.  We left in the middle of the poet's set.  They even allowed the photographer to speak, thanked his girlfriend, and solicited his services.  I will never recommend this establishment or "band."  A waste of my hard earned dollars, time and patience.  I will be sharing with all forms of social media to put the word out. The non-profit organization TLWL Inc. had our annual…read morefundraiser at this nice venue recently. The place was absolutely beautiful, staff was friendly and accomodating. They made every effort to make us and our quests feel welcomed and comfortable. They let us in early to decorate, and allowed our board members to come in day in advance and bring in some donated goodies for this event. This venue is perfect for so many type of functions, either private or corporate, and it is clean, calm, asessable, classy, and just inviting with a nice view out to the nature. The bar was conveniently located by the lobby and next to the "mingling area." Parking lot has several handicap parking spaces right at the front entrance, and the layout of the parking is practical. Thank you to The Metropolitan Club! You made our day perfect. Your family and staff deserve way more than five stars. Next time we will take a spin on the dance floor. Thank you again.
