This was verified by the inspector. Instead of replacing the roof, HHI refused to do anything about it blaming it on faulty shingles. A worker from HHI even came back out to the house and agreed that the shingles on the one side needed replaced. The owner, however, refused to fix the problem. I would strongly suggest not using HHI for any roofing needs.

I called around and settled in on HHI Roofing after my neighbors told me how pleased they were with the new roof HHI Roofing put on their house and how they were happy with the cost/value of the job. Paul came to my house, showed me the samples of roofs shingles and gave me a quote that day. I called him back the next day and he said three weeks till he could schedule the day. He called to give me the date for the job. He was true to his word and the job was done in one day. The crew finished the job by rolling the ground with a magnetic roller to pick up all the random screws. Great job. The project manager made several attempts to replace it himself and ended up replacing by putting on a 4" cap for a 6" vent pipe. After that, the PM and Shell in general will not answer my phone calls. I'm hope the roof was installed correctly since it is proven I will not be able to get Shell to fix any problems with their work.

I was instructed to provide a receipt for the damages, which resulted in the need for a new pool liner. Now, Dan Taylor claims it is scientifically impossible for nails or debris to damage a pool liner. If the company had simply tarped my backyard, none of this would have happened. The attached picture shows debris caught by my solar skimmer on the day my roof was installed by TaylorMade Solutions. However, based on density, most common roofing materials sink in water since they are denser than it--this is scientifically proven. I am still waiting for Dan to contact the pool company that installed my liner for further insight into the cause of the pool damage. I provided their contact information to Dan on August 11th. I am at a loss for words. Consumer beware: If you are combining a new roof with your solar package, I recommend researching the contractor before adding them to your solar contract. I also suggest following up with your solar company--Palmetto in my case--to inform them about the poor customer service I experienced while waiting for a resolution. I am out $6,533.62, plus additional costs for refilling the pool.
