Stopped in at lunch. Hadn't eaten yet. Been wanting a burger for a while but hadn't had the time to stop anywhere for a bit. Was going to eat the Pain Jane as a control since I've never been there before but the waiter said all burgers were just 10$ and the Bourbon Burger with the pork belly caught my eye. Got it not 5 minutes later. Hefty looking thing, messy as any good burger should be with a half an inch thick patty and onion fries spilling out of it. Took a bite. Wasn't ready. This thing had more flavor than I was prepared for. And I'm no slouch when it comes to burgers. Patty was large enough to give a feeling of satisfaction for someone craving a beef burger but the pork belly added a good bit of pork flavor and smoke that threatened to overwhelm it. The sause was rich and sweet to the point that I needed the pickles on the side to cleans my palate after each bite. Crispy onion fries gave it some nice texture and even more sweetness. The bun was soft and held the mass together well. All and all a satisfying experience. The fries weren't bad ether but more served as something to munch on while I tried to process my burger. As a side note; I got a coke with cherries in it, the cherries seemed like they were cured in sugar. Not a bad thing, just wasn't expecting it to be borderline candy. read more

It was our 1st time there. Was seated right away. The server asked if this was our first time here and suggested some drinks. Then we ordered appetizer and meal. Appetizer (duck bacon wontons) arrived in about 10 minutes. It was amazing with out the sauce. Then for main course we got Newyork Newyork sliders and the bugle. Both came with fries. It was great food great service under busy period. The one frustration is the online check in or virtual wait. We waited beyond our time and due to an event we were attending we had to dump food into to go boxes and not enjoy at the table at all. There are plenty of vegetarian and meat eater options which is perfect, great drinks for those that like alcohol and don't, and great service. We came with a party of 9 and it was phenomenal, from the food to the service (very attentive even though they were packed due to a local hockey game). Our group had burgers, duck wontons, mushroom quesadillas, Mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts (and beer and cocktails) and it was all delicious! We look forward to coming back: the only thing we'd ask for was the burger to be medium-rare and not well done - they didn't even ask us how we'd like them done; I think they're frozen patties not fresh. read more

I actually did try this place out because a group of friends invited me. It was during a week night and was a 25 minute wait. No big deal as we were waiting for everyone. We were seated in the back corner where it's quite dark. Food is a 3 and service was a 4 tonight. The service thankfully was thoughtful and the management did their best to make everybody happy. Everyone mostly enjoyed their meals. My friend had her burger comped because it lacked some key ingredients. The PBJ burger had little to no PB for instance. Food could have been more timely though, as most of our food came out cold. The ambiance is fun with a lot going on and our group enjoyed the night. Some recommendations that stood out for the evening are any Mac on the menu, Firecracker Shrimp, and Caesar Salad. It wasn't a perfect night but I'm glad the actual service was nice and the food was decently good. read more

We visited Brick & Bourbon for the first time and were very pleased with everything we ordered. My favorite was the pork belly poutine. The gravy was spot on, and I could not stop eating it. My husband ordered the Ambassador (dry rub) wings and enjoyed them very much. They have a fun assortment of cocktails (I tried 2!), and an extensive selection of whiskey, bourbon and beer. Been here a couple of times. The food was mediocre. Decided will not be going back. Each time I went I ordered an app, main course and drinks. This time my app was the baked Brie, I didn't like it at all i took 2 bites and pushed it away, not once did the guy ask how my food was. So by the end of the meal. I asked for my check and a box. I start boxing up my items and the Brie fell on the floor. Bar tender doesn't even offer to replace it or take it off. Just brings the check. I pay it, no complaint but I didn't not leave the tip I would have had they taken the floored item off my check since I wasn't able to take it home. We could not begin to say how AMAZING this place is. After a long day of 13+ hours driving and desperate for food at 9:30 PM- we were worried about the kitchen being closed or us upsetting the staff. Quite the opposite happened. We were genuinely, warmly welcomed and treated like royalty. The bartender, Josh, was beyond accommodating, so kind, so knowledgeable and made the absolute best Old Fashioned we've ever had. The ambiance and atmosphere was the perfect blend of cozy and fun. "Thank God for Brick & Bourbon" says everyone that loves Downtown St. Cloud. Upscale and casual at the same time. Excellent, friendly staff (please stay that way!). Awesome food. The jalapeño cheese pull apart bread app- with beer cheese sauce- is a jaw dropper and can easily satisfy 4 to 6 adults. Big selection of dark liquors, great cocktails. One suggestion as this beautiful decor restaurant is starting up - the fries were somewhat soggy. Add 30 seconds to the cook time, and don't let sit under a heat lamp. Can't wait to be back. This is hopefully the continuation of Downtown St. Cloud be a fun night destination with multiple fun locations to eat and socialize. read more
