My wife and I drove up to St. Cloud from the Cities and decided to stop in for lunch. We ordered the wood smoked platter for her and I went with the spicy rotisserie chicken sandwich. For our starter we tried the firecracker shrimp. The shrimp were decent, a little on the sweeter side, and the cornbread ended up being gooey in the middle which threw it off for us. The spicy rotisserie chicken sandwich actually had good flavor but because they put it on a regular bun it didn't hold up at all. The liquid from the chicken soaked right through and the whole thing kept falling apart so it was hard to enjoy. Service was okay, nothing bad but nothing that stood out either. Overall we weren't really impressed with the experience. Might try something different next time we are in the area. read more

Hit this place up for lunch on a Friday. We were seated quickly, plenty of parking and everything was clean. The environment is warm and friendly. The staff were very nice and very accommodating, even asked about splitting our bills before the waiter took our order and we had a decent sized group. The waiter was fairly quick on the drinks but, the place was dead. I had asked for a lemon with my water, which never showed, and for the wild rice soup and got French fries, so that was disappointing. But, the fries were pretty tasty and so was the chicken ranch wrap so I can't complain there. Was very tasty and decently priced. Overall I'd be back. Maybe next time I can get exactly what I asked for when I show up with less people. With how good the food was and how friendly the staff were, I just didn't really care to bother him about that stuff at the time and certainly won't affect if I return. read more

Of the Grizzly genres, the wood-fired locations are in my opinion the best. Their wood-smoked wings are probably my favorite in the state. I don't know what it is about their buffalo sauce, but I can't get enough. There are several other worthwhile choices on the menu. If they get the cooking time right on their cheese curds, they can be fantastic. Too little and they're undercooked rubber, too much and the cheese has seeped out, and you get just the rusk of the batter...which they aren't shy about sending out to you regardless. Their spicy chicken sandwich and their pastas are reliable. And of course they have free snacks with popcorn and peanuts if you're there to have cocktails. Daily happy hour and specials are also welcomed, but modest in price reductions. The staff at this location are friendly and attentive as well, which helps for a nice experience. For a chain restaurant, Grizzly's is nice and worth a visit. For their wings, it's a must. read more

Started with fried cheese curds of course. Fantastic. Great batter served with both marinara and ranch. A gooey delight. Ribs were flavorful and the pasta had a good hint of Parmesan cheese. My mother and I visited this place on her birthday before our movie. We were going to do a lunch, but then decided on a light lunch because of the time. We knew we were having a potluck after the movie to celebrate. We decided to share a Quesadilla, and a cup of Chicken Wild Rice Soup. The food was good and the quesadilla had a really nice kick to it. The waitress was nice, but not the most attentive. We wanted to order, and she wasn't around when it was time, she took longer then normal to bring us our drinks, and they were only waters. When it was time to pay and get a box for the rest of our food, she did one thing at a time, and even then, we had to flag down another waitress to find our waitress. Kind of a sad experience. However, my mother enjoys this place, so I will go here for her, especially on her birthday. I would try it again, definitely. After Grizzly's recent renovation, my beloved and I decided to try it again. The place was very busy, so service was slower than expected. Our waitress, though, did a decent job and was friendly. We just had to wait to have our waters refilled and for requests. I had a steak and chicken combo. Their wood-fired chicken is what they're known for. You can see them cooking above the fire as you walk into the restaurant. Whatever you order, be sure it has chicken with it. You'll love the smoky, tender tasting chicken. I sure did. The steak was good, not great, but tasty. I was disappointed with the cheesy hashbrown recipe that they serve. That was my side. I also had a side starter salad with mixed greens, goat cheese, cranberries, and pepitos. It wasn't my favorite. My beloved had a chicken avocado and bacon sandwich with cheese curds. Their cheese curds are excellent. They're bursting with cheese. They reminded me of the curds served by Boulder Tap House. They're large cubes. I would get these again. Went here because our first choice was packed :( I thought Grizzly's was known for their wild rice soup so I tried it. I love wild rice soup but this was gross. It was like a purred potato soup with wild rice in it. I would never get this again. The beer can chili however was pretty good. The wild rice stuffed mushrooms were a delight to the palate and tasted fresh and clean to the palate. The cheese curds were big honking blocks of cheddar and came with dipping sauces. They resemble the original pick tonight that was packed. So these were a hit. The black and bleu burger was good too along with the fries. The waitress was nice and friendly. Grizzly's is a personal favourite. It certainly beats both Texas Roadhouse and IHOP, both of which are in the same parking lot! Although when you go there later at night, they close off the dining room and have you eat in the bar area, the food and service are still beyond compare. Of course, the rotisserie chicken is an absolute must; they're famous for it and I had enough for leftovers, but I forgot to bring my grab box home. As sad as that was, I got to enjoy the rest of the amazing food, including their delectable chicken and wild rice soup. Mmm mmm mmm! The customer service is fantastic. They always check up on you and make sure that your drinks are full and that all your needs are being met. You never feel like you're unwanted or that you are just staying too long. This place is amazing! We stopped here for lunch and our waiter, Matt, was very helpful and enthusiastic. I ordered the Steak Tacos with the Steamed Veggies and it was amazing. The steak in the tacos was seasoned perfectly and was extremely tender and juicy. It was a very flavorful meal, and the rest of my group enjoyed their meals as well. The restaurant itself is also very clean and welcoming. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stop by. read more
