I needed two storage rooms cleared and the contents brought to my house. After calling many…read moredifferent movers in the valley, I called Whitney last. I spoke with Robyn who was pleasant and had a great sense of humor. I was able to get my items moved from Meridian to MountaIn Home for about half the cost of other movers (2 workers and truck for $80,00 an hour). On moving day, I was surprised when 4 workers showed. I called and Robyn assured me I was only paying the quoted rate. The movers worked quickly, taking about 2 hours on a 10x20 storage room that was nearly filled. They packed everything tightly in the truck to assure minimal shifting during transit. The second room (10x10) took about an hour and a half only because of having to use up available space in the truck. Once they arrived in mountain Home, they immediately began unloading. The workers were tiring and did mange to ding up some furniture while moving it up the stairs (nothing I can't fix) and did damage a post on my stairwell. To be fair, the bedroom set is solid wood and heavy and I know they did their best. If you hire Whitney, you will want to be engaged and be ready to offer up concerns or suggestions as half their crew is young and inexperienced (but you gotta learn somehow). The total charged was for 7 hours work. Overall I am happy with the work performed.

Even though we were running two hours late, BBM met us at the house to help us unload. They were unable to extend the time helping due to other jobs so I can't blame them for that. This review and five stars is more about the two young men who helped us; Gage and Trent. Both of them were polite and professional and KICKED @SS. These two guys hustled and unloaded a 26 foot truck packed to the gills in under 2 hours (with the help of my son-in-law) with my directing what furniture and boxes went where. Their work ethic is outstanding and they never rested or paused. Hats off to these fine guys!

It was a hot July day, and they had to move my mom out of a third story apartment without an elevator. Jerry was so kind, patient, and helpful. What a top notch experience we had when our interior designer had a team from Merchants come to our…read morehome to reposition a heavy area rug and move around furniture too heavy for my husband to do on his own and with me as worthless in that work given I have multiple sclerosis and the ship has sailed for me being able to lift and carry furniture. The two Merchants employees, Dan and Christian, were on time, early even, for the appointment, friendly and professional and clearly "spoke designer" for how they moved things about with her recommendations and directions. They accomplished in roughly 90 minutes what would have been impossible for us in any time frame. They worked efficiently and carefully and that they were such nice men was a bonus too. We've moved 14 times in 42 years so the odds are good that we'll move again. In all those moves the only bad experience we had was with the moving company in Boise, a national brand competitor of Merchants (which is affiliated with national brand Atlas), that did a woeful and careless job and damaged furniture to the tune over a thousand dollars in repairs moving us into a rental and then a year later out of the rental into our new home just five miles away. Based on our experience with Christian and Dan for the work they did for us and our designer last week, when our next move comes up we will use Merchants.

Asked for insurance and license info since there was no documentation upon the booking and was provided with right away which was nice but then got weird with in few minutes, I was asking about me possibly not being there to unload in person but family member whom lives with me (it's our belongings in the truck to be unloaded into storage) and friend would be present and immediately said they can't do the job because I wouldn't be there and I stated I could be there the following day like discussed and still declined the job... two days away from arrival.
