Ray, one of the owners of the company personally came to our home and suggested hardy plants to replace them. Goney's recently completed the job and I am extremely happy with the installation. The crew doing the install work for Goney's directly and were quite professional and courteous. The real benefit of going to Goney's is actually going to the nursery and being able to see what you were going to get installed. The staff at the nursery were very helpful about info about the plants. If you hire a landscaper with no nursery you do not know what you will be getting installed. So you maybe paying for very small plants and get "bait and switched" on the plants. They are a long time company in the area with an Excellent reputation..

Completely disgusted with my experience with Lee's Tree…read more We went there to purchase two Foxtail Palm trees and agreed to pay nearly $900 for delivery and installation through the owner, Brent, who was very pleasant during the sales process. While ordering, we specifically explained that we were replacing two dead palm trees that had died during the freeze. At no point were we told there would be additional tree removal fees. It's not even listed on the order statement. The day of delivery and installation, we were suddenly informed about these extra charges. When I questioned it, I was met by a very condescending employee, which completely changed the experience. Because of the unprofessional way the situation was handled, they ended up losing a nearly $900 sale over what could have easily been communicated upfront. What makes this even more frustrating is that we originally purchased the same palm trees from them years ago. At that time, they delivered, installed, and even removed two oak trees without charging any separate "tree removal fee." Good customer service starts with transparency and professionalism, and unfortunately this experience had neither. Amazing way to lose a $900 sale over a petty, undisclosed tree removal fee.

The place is smaller than Girard up the street and has a smaller collection and is not as well kept. Many of the plants I noticed looked a bit droopy. They do have a large above ground Koi pond with all sizes and prices of fish. It is so big they built a wooden bridge so you can walk over it and peer down at the fish below. They even had one tank with "award winning" show Koi that were expensive but beautiful! The lady behind the counter wasn't very friendly at first and seemed bothered when we asked for help. After we started talking she warmed up and two other employees appeared and were quite friendly. We didn't find a fountain in the garden or their book that we liked so we ended up purchasing a pot that we are going to make into a waterless water feature.

I recently purchased new sod from Miller's Sod. After speding two days talking to staff and going…read moreto the apopka location watching new sod arrive daily. I picked the Argentine Bahia. Monday the sod looked like crap and weed. By Tuesday nice fresh batches of sod were arriving. I think the sod I received was certainly not what was picked out. By delivery time Thursday it looked like dry weeds and mixed crap. Sod was dry, a mixture of multiple types of grass and the cheapest street side Bahia. Grass pallets completely fell apart at the touch with lots of big tree roots. I called Miller's to state I received bad grass. Plus I had several experts look at the grass who said it was "not Argentine Bahia" but wild grass. Millers would not honor my request or do anything about the grass. One lady simply laughed while I was complaining to the other salespersons. Grass is too costly to be left hanging. Being a repeat client I was a Very upset and dissatisfied repeat client. Watch what you buy. Feels like a bait and switch experience.
