I walked into Dr. Hersh's office ready to quit running. For most people that probably sounds like…read morea great idea but for me it was a devastating prospect. I love running but I've suffered from chronic shin injuries since I started running anything over a half marathon. Over the past 5 years I tried literally everything to solve my problems. I saw doctors & physical therapists, had gait analyses, strength trained, got different kinds of shoes, tried the barefoot thing, I lived in compression socks...I could keep going but you get the idea. Nothing worked. As the years went by, my training became, not how many miles a week I ran, but a struggle to do the bare minimum of my training program. Each year the injuries came sooner and I knew I couldn't keep doing it this way. My last hope was Dr. Hersh. A girl in my running group recommended him and I made an appointment the next day. The online booking system is super easy and I was able to get in quickly. After rehashing my long tale of woe, I told him that I wanted to keep running and was looking for a long term solution. Dr. Hersh was patient, listened to the whole story, and ultimately ended up prescribing aggressive stretching and custom orthotics. Even though I'm sure I sounded a little crazy, I was thrilled that he addressed my problems and recommended some things that I hadn't heard before. I appreciated that he really took the time to evaluate my individual situation and was genuinely interested in helping me find some answers. He and his staff were also great about helping me find the most cost effective way to pay for my treatment, which was amazing. I held back tears yesterday as I crossed the finish line of the Chicago Marathon. Not because the race went so well (it didn't - running a marathon with a cold was not one of my better ideas) but because, with my custom orthotics and stretching program, I ran the entire race with NO shin pain. ZERO. It's really a miracle. I have always ended up with stress fractures after my previous marathons. Not this time. I'm so happy, I could cry. Really, you have no idea. Thanks to Dr. Hersh, I can replace my time worrying about not running with time actually running. Now instead of thinking of quitting running, I am excited for the possibilities. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dr. Hersh!!!

In every sense at the very pit of my bottom, with life hanging by a frayed string, when I was introduced to Tom, Spirit and the realities I truly had access to in this life. Since an early age, I have been blessed by "tragedies" along my path that would ultimately expose me to wondrous authentic relationships with my Self & Spirit that have always been within and around, but muted and hidden by false Self, Ego, Fear, and Pain. At 32 yr old, seemingly hopeless and armed with little more than pain and a just a spark of openness and willingness to change, Tom exposed me to a pathway that would begin to strip me of a bondage intent to mute the Spirit within and defeat my life force. It's 2023, and I'm 58 and my journey and life is genuinely wondrous and joyful. Along The Way, life's terms, as the will, have presented challenge despair, opportunity, much joy, four excruciating bouts with cancer, loss of my big sister to the same, along with the marvels of our family's expansion and lives we've created and cared for - all of whom are in or coming to the adulthood of their own journeys. I no longer live in Chicago and my shamanic teacher and guide has transitioned to Rodrigo these past several years along the path Tom exposed me to and the sojourn he cast me off on many years ago now. Tom Voitas' life force, learned knowledge, and shamanic gifts are charged with Spirit and have affected my life, relationships and countless others in my path and wake as my life force radiates.

Superior, suite 509. I think the address listed here on Erie might be outdated unless he has 2 offices. I've seen him at the Superior location on and off for 6 years. I returned recently for another episode of care. He's an extraordinary healer- employs a variety of therapeutic interventions, some more traditional than others, each uniquely tailored to a patient's needs. I've recommended Dr. Voitas to a few friends with chronic pain issues and my husband saw him for chronic pain after a head injury-bike accident. Everyone has been very pleased with the quality of care and Dr. Voitas's unique skill set, patience and compassion. Very reasonable hourly fee. Highly recommended.

After a few mins, he recommended something as a first step ... that wasn't visiting Elite. I only spent a few minutes with him but I think he's top notch and what doctors should always be ... patient focused first. Thanks Dr. Pat! I'll see see you when needed.

I went for the Thai Massage with Rawiwan. The massage room is inside the chiropractor's office, which is inside a building with other offices. It is quite sizable. the office has very good vibes, with lots of inspirational quotes, friendly pictures, and clean atmosphere. They also sell some raw honey that Dr. Paul apparently makes (is that the term? harvest?) himself. Love me some local honey! I got a jar and am glad I did. I'll be getting another jar soon. Anyway, on to the massage. The 1-hour massage lasted the full one hour (and then some). She uses hot stones, hot towels, and I'm not sure how she does it, but she doesn't reach out to get oil but somehow has it coming out as she's working on you with both hands! Like Spiderman or something. It was really cool. A really, very good massage. Talk to her and let her know if you need her to adjust strength and she gets on it right away. I'd be coming here regularly if I lived a little closer.
