Her website was easy to navigate and There was a lot of options for picture packages. I chose the first years package with Teagan photography which included maternity/newborn/6 months and one year. That was definitly a great decision on my part. The maternity portion we first met with Allison the photographer in the river valley and she made you feel at ease. She gave us a little sneak peak on the camera and a facebook sneak peak shortly after. I was so excited with the pictures. The newborn pictures were done in our house and I was just blown away with how patient she was with our little girl who pooped and peed all over. Being a brand new mom she took away the stress and was very relaxed and just worked so well with us and the new baby. Again we loved our pictures and she was quick with all of the sneak peaks. We have had our 6 month session and I have just been blown away with the great pictures she has taken and how well they all work together. In a few months we will have our 1 year pictures but they will not be the last! In the end she will bind all the photos in a book and we will have an awesome keepsake of our little lady. From the first meeting with Shalene I was blown away at how friendly she was, and how easy it was to be around her. My husband has anxiety issues, and he was right at ease with her from the very start which was super important to me. She was nearly completely booked up for 2016 and she was kind enough to accommodate our wedding date. I understand why she books up so fast since her prices are affordable and is a total steal when compared to the quality of images and services she offers. After our first meeting, she sent flowers to my house to say thank you for choosing her which absolutely astonished me... I felt that it was such a kind thing for a photographer to have done. Over the year of planning my wedding Shalene became so much more than a photographer, and instead became my friend. She answers messages incredibly fast, is very knowledgeable and helped me with choosing an engagement outfit according to what would photograph the best. When we arranged to have our engagement pictures taken, we had to change the photo location last minute due to unforeseen circumstances and she was so understanding and accommodated the change without judgement. The turnaround time for my engagement session was lightning fast, and the packaging and the USB was absolutely gorgeous. You can tell she puts so much thought and detail into her photographs as well as her brand. For my wedding day she stuck around from start until finish. She worked quietly in the background, photographing the smallest details, and capturing special moments. When my florist messed up on my bouquet, and my ride was redirected last minute, Shalene drove me and my friend to my wedding venue, which just shocked me at how above and beyond she was willing to go for me. Throughout the wedding, I hardly noticed she was there. She was very unobtrusive and let me have intimate moments with my husband and family, and then would pull me away when the moment was right to get some stunning photographs. She took my feedback from the engagement session and translated that perfectly on the wedding day to deliver the shots I was looking for. When all is said and done, I cannot recommend Shalene enough. If you hire her, there is literally no way you could ever be disappointed. Her pictures are stunning, the moments she captures are beautiful, and as a person, she is authentic, real, and caring which I find refreshing. Overall I highly recommend her.
