We ended up not using their services because thousands of years of biology caught up to me & I realized I wanted to quit my job to raise him & any future children instead. However, this company was fantastic to work with & I felt completely taken care of having never hired help for our home other then maybe a landscaper. We had 2 informative consultations with ABC & got up to the part where we received resumes of possible candidates. It can be a stressful process with all there is to navigate (finding candidates, background checks, becoming an employer, etc.) but ABC is there to guide you through it which is just what we needed. If we are ever in a position where we need a nanny or another type of household staff, I'd come to them first.

As an experienced nanny, I completed their onboarding process, which included providing references. My references shared that the process was very time-consuming, and I truly appreciated the effort they put in to support me. During this time, I was transparent that I was actively looking for my next nanny position and that finding a new role was important due to changes with my current family. After completing the process, I did not feel supported in my search. I was rarely contacted about opportunities that aligned with what I was looking for, and when I proactively reached out about positions listed on their job board, communication was often inconsistent. There were multiple occasions where I did not receive a response, could not reach someone by phone, or was told that positions still listed as open had already been filled and needed to be updated. When I needed to begin my search again after my previous nanny contract ended, I reached out once more and provided updated information, but unfortunately experienced many of the same communication challenges. While they did eventually reach out about a couple of opportunities, I never progressed to an interview or placement through ABC Nannies. Ultimately, I found my nanny position through another local agency, and the experience was completely different. They took the time to understand what I was looking for, communicated consistently, and made me feel supported and advocated for throughout the process. I understand agencies work with many families and candidates and cannot guarantee placement. However, nannies are also relying on agencies during important career transitions, and clear communication is incredibly important. After completing the steps required to join the nanny pool, I was disappointed that I did not feel supported throughout the process. I hope ABC Nannies takes feedback like this seriously and continues working toward improving communication and the overall experience for nanny candidates.

We had no idea what to expect. I called the night before to be sure we did not need to make a reservation and talked to Martha who was warm and welcoming - she said come on down! We arrived at 5PM and were greeted by a lovely young lady - 94 years old and teaching 2 exercise classes there a week. We gave her our money and got a ticket to turn into the cook. We went into the community room and there were 4 round and 1 large rectangular tables covered in multicolored table cloths and gold vases with brightly colored plastic flowers. The tables were set with cutlery and place mats and some "Golden Oldies" playing in the background. It was open seating and the 4 of us met quite the characters! Lily was celebrating her 81st birthday and was full of energy - joking with everyone and greeting you like an old friend. What struck me was everyone was laughing and enjoying some good, old-fashioned conversation. The meal was a thicker spaghetti noodle, a good side of salad and a slice of watermelon. In addition, strawberry shortcake - served by Lily - for dessert - a deal at 5 bucks! Wine was extra for a donation to the center - they were serving a red Yellowtail. The dinners are served the 3rd Thursday of every month - next up? Pizza night! You can count on us being there again to mingle with the generations and have a good laugh. Other services they offer: Senior Programs, Preschool and other Kid's Programs, Wellness Clinic, Yoga, Zumba and Tae Kwon Do classes. Something for everyone!

We never had to read any books or watch any videos to get her to sleep...she just did it. So, with #2 we were expecting it to be very similar. Well, of course they tell you they are always different...and they are! At four months I broke out my sleep training books that I had purchased with #1 and never used. I opened one up...and quickly started to cry. I was so tired! I couldn't read a book at that moment. I was exhausted. I was barely able to function let a lone spare lots of hours reading, digesting, and experimenting to see what worked with my son. I literally googled "sleep training Denver" and found Angie - my life savor! I filled out an extensive questionnaire and she came to my house. (There are different packages you can buy and I most definitely think you should have her come to your house because she can quickly assess your babies needs and show you techniques that work then and there.) With in 20 minutes of arriving she had my son sleeping in his own crib. Total. Miracle. Worker. It's been a blissful three months since we've seen Angie. I highly recommend her!

Kathy cares deeply about each of her charges, and hires other caregivers who likewise seem to have infinite reserves of energy, patience, and good humor. The kids spend a lot of time playing, being outdoors, going for walks, making bread, gardening, singing, painting, etc (and participating in the awesome birthday parties each one gets). The staff truly pays attention to each child, gets to know their quirks, and provides a fun and stimulating environment for them. My son was at the University location for a year and a half, and recently moved to the new Glencoe location. Both sites are great, and enrollment is limited, so your child won't get lost in the shuffle like he/she might at a large daycare center or preschool. Choosing the right daycare is such an important decision -- definitely consider Sunflower in your search!
