My family has had the pleasure of working with Dr. Lebron for 2.5 Years. Dr. Lebron has always gone above and beyond with providing responsiveness, patience, and love to my family and I. When my son started experiencing strange side effects from a minor injury Dr. Lebron (correctly) forced my wife and I to take him to a hospital. Dr. Lebron would not stop harassing the hospital over the phone until we were able to make an appointment with a top Doctor in the correct field (harder than you would think)! She most likely saved my son from needing his foot to be amputated. More recently, I called the office @8PM expecting to leave a voicemail. Instead, Dr. Lebron picked up the phone herself, and facetimed me as soon as she heard the issue. Her demeanor truly sets her apart; while I never want to call her, I am always relieved after speaking with Dr. Lebron. read more

Not reassuring. We have been coming here since our son was a newborn and we've decided to pull him out and move to another pediatric practice in the city. Dr. Lebron was always quick to send us to another specialist causing these first-time parents a lot of anxiety. When we thought he was having a flat head as a baby, she sent us to a helmet specialist because it might affect our son's "facial asymmetry". My wife took him to North Jersey only to be told to wait it out and come back if the head does not improve. It did improve. When our son had some level of speech delay, she sent us to an Early Intervention and Developmentalist. She said she was not going to perform a diagnosis but suspects it could be autism so she made a prescription to be seen by the specialists. Due to the long wait with in-network providers, we went straight to out-of-network practitioners to have our son evaluated. The occupational therapist and speech therapist performed a 1 1/2 hour comprehensive evaluation and he was interacting pretty well, although we had to address the speech part. At the next late afternoon check-up with Dr. Lebron, she used the word "not normal" when he was not making eye contact. Take note, she was seeing her for 3 minutes without being playful. It was a long wait before he could see her and the boy was already cranky. She was quick to speculate that something was wrong with our kid. We eventually found a developmentalist and he tested negative after a comprehensive evaluation. Bottom line, if there was a cause of concern, perhaps she should be mindful of communicating with the parents. I understand the need to cover all bases but it wouldn't hurt to brush up on some bedside manners as a doctor. It would be best not to cause any unnecessary panic to the parents. Our son has caught up with his developmental milestones and we have been free from any unnecessary worries after transferring him to another practice. We pulled him out after he turned 2. read more

I don't even know where to start, other than Dr. Lebron and her staff are simply amazing. After our daughter was born we hopped on Yelp to look up nearby pediatricians in Jersey City, none really stood out or had great reviews. There are a few nearby larger pediatrician groups and everyone mentioned, "if you get Dr. So and So, then it's a great experience, but this doctor is not great or this place is a factory of kids..." Don't get me wrong, there is some benefits to large groups like Tribeca Pediatrics and others, you often can see someone short notice, more resources, locations, etc. but we were new parents and it just did not seem appealing. Moreover, we had got zero family nearby (all on west coast) so wanted someone we could consistently see. We then got our building's little neighborhood online forum (The Madox which is awesome btw and a couple blocks away from Baby Steps) to ask around. Nearly all parents came back saying, "go see Dr. Lebron - she's the best." So, it's Dr. Lebron and basically 2 or 3 assistants who I can't remember their names, but all so sweet and nice. That said, she's busy, she may not have room to see you tomorrow. But in our opinion, it's worth the wait. She will dedicate an hour for your first visit, she's available on cell or email (don't abuse that) and she will come to your house in some instances if you're in the Paulus Hook neighborhood. She's upfront on her philosophy of care and wants to make sure it jives with you. I appreciate that - for instance, she said. If you don't want to vaccinate your child, I'm not the pediatrician for you, I can direct you to some that will. Personally, I just cannot get behind this BS anti-vaccination movement that's based in ZERO evidence and driven by people like Jim Carrey so I found this incredibly gratifying to hear. She will space out vaccinations and delay some if you're more comfortable with that, and she believes in holistic approaches when applicable. Generally they're good and scheduling and sometimes you have to wait a bit, but it's because she cares and spends time with you to make sure you're okay with procedure, or you understand the issues, etc. She truly cares. FTM here and delivered in December. I researched pediatricians ahead of time and had chosen Dr. Lebron. We attended her open house and specifically asked what steps were needed to secure her as our pediatrician when I delivered. At the open house we were assured that all we needed to do was call the office after the birth and schedule a newborn visit. We were told that she keeps time slots open for newborns and there was no further action needed prior to the baby's birth. We called Dr. Lebron's office from the hospital and were told that she isn't accepting any new patients and she could not take us on. Just a FYI for any new moms who are looking for local pediatricians - make sure you have a secondary practice option. The last thing you need after labor and delivery is your preferred pediatrician choice saying they can't accept you! read more

My son is now 10 months old and we started with Dr Lebron from the beginning. I think she is wonderful and so is her staff. They are very quick to respond and super efficient. You can tell Dr. Lebron cares deeply about her patients and the parents. She is not quick to prescribe antibiotics, she really considers and explains all options and why she is giving you the treatment plan she is. We unfortunately will be leaving Jersey City next month and I am very sad to be leaving this practice. read more

We called for an appointment in early March, we got booked for the end of that month. They called us a few days before the appointment to push it forward to May 1st. They called us again today to say they are not taking new patients. Did your policy change due to the current situation? That's fine! But putting it to work with patients you have booked two months ago! That is a huge disservice. Suddenly, and after waiting for almost two months, we have to start looking for a new pediatrician from scratch. We are very disappointed. read more

This is an overdue review. In Sept 2018, we were looking for a new pediatrician in the area for our at-that-time 2 weeks old baby and we decided to try Dr. Lebron since we live a few blocks away. We were just not impressed by Dr. Lebron at all and we decided not to continue going to Baby Steps after our 1st visit. A little bit of details on why: Dr. Lebron came in with a mask on saying she's sick and it made us very nervous since our baby was barely 2 weeks old at that time. We expressed our concerns and she immediately reacted offended and told us we can just leave and come back later. We decided to stay for the appointment because our daughter's belly button just fell off and it looked a bit red. Without much consideration, Dr. L prescribed an antibiotic cream which we ended up not applying on her belly button. A week later it just healed by itself. On top of that, as we were walking out of the appt, we realized that she never opened our daughter's diaper on the 1st visit. If we didn't tell her the gender, there's no way she would have known if our baby was boy or girl. Just a big no-no. In addition, there was a male NP next to Dr. Lebron supposedly taking notes but he seemed to have had a rough night before. He was falling asleep during our appointment and it was very unprofessional. All in all, we are not sure if Dr. L was having an off day or what but we were NOT impressed at all and ended up choosing a pediatrician on UES. She was just not our cup of tea to trust our daughter's well-being. read more

Dr. Lebron is the best pediatrician in every way. She is very professional and at the same time very sweet,kind, understanding,cooperative and smart. I have moved to another state but I continue to go to her when I need to, as it is totally worth it. I could never trust anyone else with my daughter. We love her! read more

My son was scheduled for a Dec. visit I was told it would be for his 2nd flu shot. Upon my arrival my son's vitals were taken. Everything was okay until the nurse tells me my son will take the Hep. B and Flu shots. I went with it but were surprised about the 2nd shot of Hep B at tihis time. The nurse goes on to tell me that Dr. Lebron likes to check babies' blood work at 9 months. I said ok and sat down but the nurse wants to do the test right there and then. I told her my son is not even 8 months yet and that he's also premature son his corrected age is 6 m.o. The nurse leaves to talk to her manager. The manager walks in and informs me there were a mistake, that she would reschedule me for January 2019, that at this time my son should only take his flu shot. The manager asked me if there are any concerns to bring up for Dr. Lebron, I mentioned two issues I'll like to discuss and she leaves. Then, there is my son still naked waiting for the doctor. I decided to put his t-shirt on and wait for another 15 minutes or so. A practitioner nurse walks in an she is in the doctor's position to hear my concerns about my son's rejecting solid foods and allergy symptoms I believe he's having... I was highly dissapointed with Dr. Lebron and her manager and nurses for this well visit but this is the second time that Dr. Lebron refuses to exam my baby. The nurse didn't even come back with the flu shot for my son which was the reason for my visit after all! read more

I can't say enough about Dr. Lebron. She is the benchmark of a great doctor! She's understanding, loving, listens but is also frank and serious when she needs to be! Dr. Lebron has been My daughter's pediatrician since birth and that will make it a little over 5 years now. I have been a nurse for children and babies for 16 years now in the hospital and in a clinic for 5 years... From a personal and a professional stand point, Dr. Lebron stands above.. She has a very good rapport with my daughter. My daughter looks forward to her well and sick visits. You as a parent are included in discussion regarding what is going on with your child and in the decision making process. It's also a benefit to her patients she keeps her practice at a manageable size, this allows for her and her staff to spend enough time with each patient and get to know them thoroughly, and aids in continuity of care... if I ever moved away, it would be hard to find a replacement . read more
