We were lucky enough to have gotten our baby girl in with Celina at 5 months, and it was life changing. Celina and her family became like family to us. She took care of and loved our girl like her own. Celina was receptive and flexible to doing things our way (feeds, naps, etc). Celina is a fantastic caregiver for children, and my wife and I would happily go to her again if we had another baby and Celina was still located near us. We had each of our two young children in Brady Family Daycare (where Celina previously worked) in La Canada Flintridge, from Fall 2016 to Summer 2019 when Ann Brady retired and closed her business. Our two boys were in Celina's care at BFD from the time each of them was around 6 months old. When we were picking daycares, Celina (as the person who principally cared for the infant-age children at the daycare) was one of the deciding factors that made us select that particular daycare. We had been referred to the daycare by one of my wife's colleagues, who raved about Celina's wonderful demeanor with her child. In our tour, and throughout our time with the daycare, we found her to be warm and loving with children and we felt very reassured leaving our children in her care while we were at work. When we initially toured daycares and interviewed their personnel, we had our then-three-month-old first child with us. Celina politely asked us if should could hold our baby while she and her coworker showed us around and answered our questions. For the entire interview, she rocked him and soothed him, and quickly had him content in her arms. Each day when I picked up our first child, and later our second, I found them happy and well-cared for. At occasional times when we saw at pick-up time that our child or another child at the daycare was misbehaving as young children do, Celina's response was appropriately firm while still gentle and kind. Our children were always safe in Celina's care and never had any safety issues while at daycare. Children mimic the behavior of the role model adults in their lives. Our children are happy and well-behaved preschoolers today, kind and gentle to other kids. Credit must be given where credit is due: since our children spent all of our working hours in Celina's care 5 days a week, Celina deserves part of the credit for the good kids they are today. If we had another child, we would happily leave our baby in Celina's care again. read more
