When I think of Bachman's, I generally think of plants or flowers. That's the only reason I would go there, as I did today shopping for a plant. But to my surprise Bachman's was much more than that. Maybe that has always been the case, but I only realized it today having to spend some extra time there today. First of all of course they have wonderful plants and flowers. 3 distinct areas for that. One for indoor plants/bouquets, one large outdoor area for perennials I believe and one partial covered area for annuals. But looking closely I saw so many unique buys that I didn't expect to see. They had outdoor /patio garden furniture, and many furniture decor items. They have a very good selection of pillows/throws in the garden/tropical theme. Better than At Home where I went shopping for garden pillows last week. Along with bouquets, there is a chocolate section, jewelry section, and women's clothing section. If someone was wanting to pickup something for their significant other, this place has everything and more you could add you to that gift. (And also a whole variety of greeting cards. Even Mickey Mouse themed ones!) For those shopping for themselves, the women's clothing area even had a fitting room. Who would have known ?! Nice touch The gift here had many more things, kitchen gadgets, games, baby items, etc It will definitely be a place for me to shop for any gift giving times. Great selection and friendly, helpful people! It's one of my go to garden centers, with good reason.

I remember Bachmans pre-Covid. Along with almost everything else in our lives, Bachmans has changed also. This store, nursery, and greenhouse is a HUGE space. Undestandably it is the end of the growing season, and the holiday season preparations are just beginning, but Bachman's bare shelves set an impression of a crumbling enterprise. Huge distances between displays, echoing footsteps, encourage one to find living people for assistance and conversation. As usual, the staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The items for sale in the store are unique. I have always been able to find a perfect gardener's gift when shopping at Bachmans. The plants are healthy and thriving. The sale prices on remaining garden plants were very reasonable. read more

This Bachman's is very nice inside and very fun to come to. Right away when you walk in you are surrounded with beautiful plants and flowers. The flower selections here are awesome. There is always many to choose from and all of them are good quality. The plant selections are also good too. Anything that you might need for gardening, they also have that too! Not to mention that they have a fun little home goods section! I never know what I am going to find when I come here! They also have a good sale section too. It's in the back corner of the store and I am ALWAYS finding stuff I can't live without there! Once it gets nice out and they open up their outside greenhouse and garden, it is beautiful! You will always find what you are looking for to add to your garden or home! Overall a great store, can be a little pricey but the stuff you are getting is high in quality! read more

I visited this Bachman's in search of a birthday bouquet for my granddaughter and was blown away by the customer service I received from Merrilee! She not only helped me find the most beautiful and fresh florals but she also arranged them into an amazing bouquet. She was patient, efficient, and so creative! I will definitely be back. read more

While this location has a much smaller selection than their location in Richfield, it's still great, especially for the northern metro. I've been here several times, and they always have a great selection of houseplants, flowers, plant care items, décor, etc. Love spending some time here to explore and plan for my dream garden/house plant collection. The staff are always friendly and willing to answer questions. They also have printouts of how to care for plants. Most recently, I was in to buy my husband a house plant for Valentine's day (why not, right?!). Anyways, it was the day before Valentine's day, and the place was pretty busy. However, staff were still really helpful and did not rush me while checking out and wrapped the plant very nicely. read more

I never thought of Bachmans as anything other than a flower shop, but it has an eclectic gift shop inside. It matches the likes of Bibelot and Patina on a smaller scale. In the greenhouse area there was a Christmas bonanza! Everything holiday you could think of was for sale there! I was able to get a few Christmas gifts for a reasonable price. I will not shop here regularly since its outside the city, but I was glad I stopped by! read more

They were not willing to take a pre order for a sympathy arrangement. If I was to order delivery they could do it but for me to pick it up they could not. I have never liked Bachman's because the staff have always been rude. I have had two experiences this week with rude employees at this store. Overpriced and rude. Never again. I ordered flowers for my cousin's 80th birthday in Oslo, Norway. The sales woman at the Fridley office helped me through the order, specifying big bold flowers, to be sent as soon as possible, not knowing how long it may take on this international order. I ordered on Thursday morning, and on Friday afternoon I received a thank you email and a photo from Oslo! My cousin said the flowers arrived as the family was preparing for the party. I went to Bachman's to order floral arrangements for my father in law's funeral. With the unexpected passing and with the arrangements for everything needing to be quickly made, having to deal with bad service here just made everything just a little more stressful. The moment we walked in, it was virtually impossible to find someone to help us out. I walked one way and my husband walked the other in search of someone to help us out. We finally found a woman and she showed us to a table with a book of floral arrangement options for funeral. She told us to "take our time" to make our decision, left us the order sheet and walked away. We never saw her again. I'm not sure about most people but I've never been involved before in making funeral arrangements and ordering floral arrangements was another task that was brand new to my husband and I. We sat there clueless and had absolutely no idea what to order and how to order. After 20 minutes have passed by and no worker was found in sight (again), we went searching for someone else to come help us. The person we found, "did not work in the department" and had no idea to help us so she went looking for someone. The individual who came out to help us seem irritated that she was pulled from her "manager duties" to help us out. Then she must have felt bad after she realized we were sitting there for 30 minutes writing up our own order. I've never received such poor service. Their prices are insane and to think the amount of money people spend on floral arrangements for these types of events, I didn't even want to give them my business but we were already there and short on time. I would suggest going anywhere else but this place and this location. THE ONLY THING THIS PLACE DID WAS HAND ME A BOOK AND TAKE MY MONEY. NEVER AGAIN. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST. read more
