I had been having chronic pain in my neck and shoulder for years. I've always been told to try chiropractic care, but I had always been uneasy with the idea of someone messing with my spine. Well, I wound up getting into a small accident, that just made my neck feel 20x worse. I was told by my cousin that I needed to come here, to the Back and Neck Center. I made a phone call, and the Lady on the phone answered some questions I had, and scheduled an appointment for the very next morning. When I arrived, after my paperwork, I got my free consultation with the Dr, while they took care of EVERYTHING with my insurance. Before they did anything that cost money, she told me about my insurance, what it did and did not cover, what my personal cost will be, etc. They told ME! I had no idea my insurance covered what it did! I didn't have to do anything. They then proceeded to take X-rays, explain my X-rays to me, showed me what was going on, and how they could help. The Dr reassured me several times that everything was safe, and that they could help me. After I got my adjustment, I felt amazing. The Dr recommended that I get massages, specially since my insurance would cover it. They were able to fit me in almost right away. I think I waited 5 minutes for the massage therapist to put sheets on the table, and that was it. The massage therapist actually looked over my chart, asked follow up questions about my pain, made it quite obvious that she was really interested in making me feel better. She made me feel like she really wanted to be there for me. Not be there because it was her work, not be there because its a paycheck, but that she was there for ME. To make ME feel better. That hour, she was not working for the clinic, She was working for me. I've never had such an amazing massage. When I was done, they booked me for the whole week, got me moving on my treatment plan, sent me home with an amazing pillow you fill with water to customize just to my needs, and everyone, even people who hadn't worked directly with me, made me feel welcomed. Its been about 3 weeks, and i have never felt better. I feel like I had a neck transplant! I can't say anything too wonderful about this clinic. They've done way more than I could have ever asked for. I haven't needed to do one thing with my insurance. They set me up on a payment plan for my share of the cost, and they do automatic payments so I don't even have to think about that either. Everyone that works the front desk has always been so very polite, all of my massages seem to be better than the last! AND! When I can't get my husband to watch my son, who is 5, they let him come with me and they'll watch him while he plays in the reception area. They even give him stickers. They're amazingly family friendly. The Dr listens to me every time I come in. When I don't get a massage, I get one of the other therapies. The water table just feels so good, the thumper massage is excellent, and I love the girls that always do those for me, specially when they do some normal massage on my neck for me too. I feel like a gushing middle school girl who just got asked to her first dance! This place makes me feel so welcomed and taken care of. Nancy at the front desk will take care of you. Tanya will take care of your billing and explain anything you don't understand. Luba will treat you with care during your therapies. I haven't seen all the massage therapists yet, but Kari, Audrey, Phil, and Roxy and Annie are just so very talented. I still recommend all of them, tho! There are a few other people I've seen walking around that work there, that always treat me so very well. And you can even get a massage on saturdays!! Becca at Alaska Back and Neck is talented and very knowledgeable. I had been going to a different chiropractor for vertigo with no results and they wanted to refer me to someone else. I went to Becca by my own choice and she helped me. She spent adequate time on helping me with this issue and also asked if I had any other back issues or pain, in which I did but was focused on the vertigo because it was bothering me so much. She helped me with everything! I love that she gives me stretches to do at home so I am in charge of my healing. She had options of helping me, not just pushing me on to the next practitioner. I have been searching for a chiropractor in Wasilla for awhile but never found a match until I came to the Back and Neck Center. Dr. Mike is an awesome Chiropractor and makes the process quick and painless. I can really feel my adjustments and always leave the office in less pain. The massage therapists are the cream of the crop. I can't say enough about them, hands down the best massages I have ever had. I've been seeing chiropractors on and off for 15 years. Dr. Becca is by far the best Doctor I've seen. She is friendly and professional. She tells you exactly what she is doing and why, which has made me more knowledgeable about my own care. Many times with other Doctors I would go in, get cracked and be out within 10 minutes without knowing what had been done. Dr. Becca has always made sure I knew ecxactly what she was doing and why.
