This venue is absolutely gorgeous! I have driven past so many time and knew it was a B&B but never…read moreknew they hosted weddings. I attended a friends wedding last month and what a shock at how big the back yard is to hold a very large wedding. They offered front yard parking and have their own "getting ready" house for the bridal party along with guest bathrooms instead of porter potties. I also saw the fenced in pool area which is great for those that were staying in the B&B part. There were plenty of tree coverage from the harsh sun without seeming like you're in the woods. This B&B is perfectly tucked away in Pungo far from the hustle and bustle of virginia beach for a quiet get away.

Not really sure how this place has a 5 star rating. This place is a joke. My brother recently got…read moremarried here to the most beautiful bride. The wedding was beautiful of course, despite the unfortunate weather conditions. Lots of heavy rain. There was a Pergola that had the tented covering but really did not have enough room, but we made the best of it. But I am warning you, DO NOT NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE!!!! Honestly the wedding was beautiful, and even though it was unfortunate that we were pretty much stuck in the tent the whole night because of how bad the weather was AND you had to walk in the pouring rain and come back completely drenched (approx 200 ft away from the tent. Side note: Your guests will have just the one single men's and one single women's bathroom, outside. No access to inside the villa what so ever. And toilet paper will not be guaranteed the whole night, as NO ONE attended to the bathrooms) it was still a beautiful wedding. It's really not the wedding that's important, it's the marriage. But let's face it, if you're going to spend the money, you want it to be as perfect as you can make it. So back to the venue, the people that own/operate this place are horrendous. The host, "Ms Peti" was rude, condescending, and a two-faced liar!! She made so many promises to my brother and SIL and did not keep her end of the bargain. At the beginning, before signing the contract she was the sweetest little lady, but after the contracts were signed and deposits were in, she was a whole different person! That's when she brings up all the "rules" of their villa. Rules that were not mentioned when we viewed the venue. They were very strict about everything, cant decorate the way you want, can't use any kind of tape or nails anyway... the list goes on. Their wedding was on a Sunday and there was a wedding the night before, so the earliest we could decorate was at 9am the day of the 3pm wedding. So we were already crunched for time, with having to do everything (table/chair set up, decor, etc). It's bad enough that they will not help at all, "Peti" would hover over the set up crew and tell them, "don't do this", "don't do that", "my husbands getting pissed of that y'all are hanging things on that tree"..... keep in mind everyone was already on edge not knowing what the weather was going to rbe like the time of the ceremony, and that we really didn't have much time. Also, my SIL mentioned to "Peti" prior to the day of the wedding that she would like to keep the wedding cake in the main villa, as it is cooler in there than the bridal suite. Ms. Peti had no problem with it and gave her permission to do so. The day of the wedding, the most important day, the day the bride was already on the edge.... Ms. Peti goes back on her word and tells her she needs to just keep it in the bridal suite because she doesn't feel like opening the door to the villa and she had errands to run. "Errands to run"???? This was acting she was just doing them a favor "borrowing" the place, I think she forgot that they payed her $6000 to rent her property. So anyhow, the cake had to be stored in the bridal suite. The same place that the whole bridal party was getting ready. The same place where hair spray and other products were being sprayed everywhere!!!! A $400 cake! To top it off, approximately an hour before the wedding, Im guessing Ms. Peti came back from running her personal errands, she comes barging into the bridal suite yelling at everyone to stop opening and closing the door. She said we were letting all the cool air out and she didn't feel like hearing the bride complain about how hot it was in there. 1st of all, the bride was not complaining about it being hot, she simply wanted the cake to be stored in the main villa where it was cooler, like previously agreed upon. Also, BEWARE. This is strictly a venue. Over $6000 for just a VENUE, nothing is included besides the tables and chairs that you must take out of the shed and set up and put back on your own. No help from the owners what so ever they will not lift a finger or lend a hand at all. Also remember you are responsible for clean up and throwing away the trash at the end of the evening. If your dream wedding is a backyard wedding, book somewhere else, anywhere else!!!! There are plenty of other people with beautiful backyards that will treat you much kinder and appreciate your hard earned money more!!! BTW, I rarely leave bad reviews, I would just hate for anyone else to give this terrible woman any more of their hard earned money and to try and ruin one of the most special days in their lives.

Surprised there aren't more reviews for this restaurant! I'll be speaking on behalf of the golfers…read morebecause I frequent this restaurant more than I should hahaha. In my opinion t's a hidden gem on a golf course. I've ordered most on the menu and it hasn't disappointed. Every time we play a round of golf we'll stick around and order food. You can order breakfast any time of the day. That's a plus in my book! They have daily specials, all sorts of cocktails (my favorite is a smoked Old Fashioned), yup they have it here, they have draft beer and bottled beer! The service here is great and very attentive. They are very nice and customer service oriented. During rounds of golf you can grab sandwiches or order ahead so by the time we get through the front nine we can pickup our food and go play the rest of our round. They have a big screen TV and another one at the bar so you can watch golf or during the NFL season they'll have games on. The ambiance for the most part is quiet in the mornings and as the golfers come in it picks up. I think it's geared towards all ages but can get a little loud when golfers come in hahaha. Doesn't bother me though. They also have venues held there for weddings, birthdays, bar mitzvah, car meetups (cars and coffee), you name it! I can go on and on but I've got to run. I'll start posting pics of food and the restaurant soon. Oh if you're a golfer, this is the only course who provides cart girls who drive around with drinks and snacks year round! Gotta go, see y'all there!

We recently had a wonderful experience in booking a reception at this venue. We had a death in our…read morefamily and as is customs with my family who is from up north, a full on reception is generally booked for after the funeral service. Evidently not a common thing here, finding a venue on extremely short notice, post covid when things are rapidly booked and with every restaurant in the area exceptionally short staffed and closed several days a week, it was a challenge to say the least. I found VB national on a list of wedding venues and called. (My 32nd call that day). A woman named Korinna answered and was so exceptionally helpful and compassionate. Her flexibility in getting everything arranged and all of the revisions that occurred in the follow few days was exemplary. Despite us needing the venue during normal business hours when they generally don't host receptions, despite the exceptionally short notice, despite the general nature of the reason for the event, despite staffing shortage city wide, and despite the ever changing desires of the family who was trying to make everything perfect for our loved one, the reception was the paradigm of class, professionalism and reverence. She and her staff even picked a few flowers and vased them to show some sympathy for my wife and our loss. Definitely the wrong circumstances to have to do business with somewhere for the first time, but things could not have been handled or executed any better. My sincerest gratitude goes to Korinna, her staff who worked extremely hard, and VB national for helping us out in a very difficult time, and who could've easily done the bare minimum given the circumstances, but instead choose to show an impressive amount of integrity in going well above and beyond any of our expectations. We look forward to booking our next event, a much happier one, with VB national.

With the field trip we got to see and learn about ALL the animals, we were able to feed majority of them as well as go inside the bird sanctuary. Then in the end they played in the tree forts. I'm happy to see all the updates they have made including how well they're keeping the animals. Great experience.

They loved the animal enclosure especially the chickens and were very excited about the goats. The playground was also wonderful and perfect for my 2 year old to run around and explore. My 2 year old is on the autism spectrum, so I really want to recognize that the environment at the farm felt very sensory-friendly. The gated areas were especially helpful because my son tends to elope, and it allowed me to feel much more comfortable letting him explore. For families with toddlers or children with additional needs, that kind of setup makes a big difference and is truly appreciated. However, I'm very disappointed with our experience during the pony ride. I paid $10 for my 2 year old to ride a pony, and I was genuinely excited because it was his first time ever being on a horse. I've heard so many positive things about how horse riding can help regulate children on the spectrum, so this was a moment I was really looking forward to as a parent. Unfortunately, the staff member who took us around for the pony ride was extremely rude and clearly seemed like she did not want to be there. Her attitude made the interaction very uncomfortable, and it honestly felt like we were an inconvenience. I pushed through the moment so my son could still enjoy his ride, but it completely took away from what should have been a really special first experience. When we looked back at the photos we took of the moment, in some of them she is actually rolling her eyes, which was very disappointing to see. No parent wants their child's first experience with something special to feel like they are bothering the staff. I'm sharing this feedback because the farm itself is a wonderful place for young kids, and I hope management is aware of how interactions like this affect families' experiences. The animals, playground, and environment were great, but customer interactions especially during experiences like pony rides should feel welcoming and positive for families and children.

Peak blooms are in the next 4-5 days. Follow them on Instagram for up to date info on blooms and hours. Super friendly staff. $25 gets your group in and you can get 10 sunflowers. They'll give you a bucket but you can bring your own shears (or they have some to borrow) and they'll wrap them for you too in cool napkins for the drive home. Suggest if you have a long drive you bring some water for them. The sunflowers are beautiful and plentiful and there weren't that many bugs. Also - this is a large field of sunflowers so you can really spread out. It felt like we had the entire place to ourselves. We roamed for half an hour before we saw other people. They have a small boutique selling themed items all featuring their bee or sunflowers. Adult shirts are $25. The bee pins are $10. A sunflower coloring book with colored pencils is $13 or $10 for just the book. Etc etc. Love love love!!!!

Not the "you'll get lost" kind of maze, more like a "you'll want to get lost" kind of maze. They opened on August 27th and reached max bloom on September 2nd. Their Facebook page indicates that you may only have another few days to catch this season's blooms. We went on a Thursday evening around 5:30 and only had a short line to get inside. The line was much longer when we were leaving around 7pm. It's $20 for 10 stems. That includes entry for up to 5 people. You can get an extra 10 stems for $10 and I think military gets an extra 5 just for showing their ID. You can't just go for the pictures, you've gotta pay. Dogs can come too- just make sure they are on a leash and you may want to bring water for them if you're planning a longer trip. They give you tips and the rules before you enter and supply you with a metal vase and cutters. I'd suggest bringing a basket instead of using their bucket though. After that the field is all yours. They have several different types of sunflowers. We got a little carried away and now I don't know what to do with all our flowers, not a bad problem to have. "By the time you're reading this it's probably too late." Cryptic, but if you're reading this after Labor Day weekend your best bet is to bookmark this for in your Summer 2021 collection and sign up for their mailing list on their website so you don't miss out next year!
