Although we sat outside (because we were dining with a dog), we never had to wait too long for the waitress to check on us. Every 5-10 minutes, she dropped by to make sure things were going well and to refill our coffee. Since The Egg Bistro has a HUGE breakfast menu, I'm sure everyone should be able to find something that they will/might enjoy. For my dining pleasure, I tried something new and went with the Bennie & the Grits. This dish piqued my interest because I never heard of grits cakes in the four decades of living on this planet. For about 20 bucks, the dish included three fried grit cakes with ground sausage, grilled shrimp, more sausage, two poached eggs and a side. Although the serving size was HUGE, I was not a bit fan of the dish. Note, I didn't think the dish was prepared badly, I just didn't get the concept of the fried grits (this from a grits lover); however, everything else with the dish was pretty good. If you are a Bloody Mary lover, you might some interesting varieties of Bloody Marys here. Additionally, I really appreciated that The Egg Bistro ranks the Bloody Marys based on spice level. Overall, I definitely would not mind visiting this location during a future trip to Va Beach. The only (very) minor issue that I had was that the outdoor seating is right next to the parking lot so you might experience some exhaust fumes/smoke while eating if you chose to dine outside. Again, this would not have been a (very) minor issue if we were not dining with a dog.

We only had to wait about 10 mins for a party of 6 and they gave us menus to look at while we waited. The waitress was very nice in continuously checked in on us. She did a great job with my youngest keeping her engaged. The food was also really good. Sausage gravy over biscuits was super flavorful. Well seasoned and had soft biscuits that were easy to cut with a fork. The pancake was huge and my 10 yr old ate the whole thing. The fruit was fresh and ripe. Very sweet. The cinnamon roll was pretty good, but just a little harder to cut through with a fork. It may have needed to be a little warmer. Nonetheless it was still very good. The crab Benedict was just that. Nice lump crab. Perfectly cooked eggs and flavorful hollandaise sauce over top. The potatoes were amazing. Everyone kept stealing them off my plate. 100% Will return if we ever spend some time in princess Anne.

When we entered we were greeted right away by the friendly staff. There weren't many people inside so we got a table right away. The menu was pretty simple and right to the point. Lunch and dinner was all that was being served, so we decided on the maple smash burgers. The manager Mark was super nice and gave us complimentary tomato soup and house made parmesan chips. The soup was actually very tasty! I'd get it again. The chips weren't appealing to either of us, they were pretty soggy or maybe a little stale. I just ate them in the soup. My friend refused to eat them. Lol. She's a picky eater, me not so much!! Our waiter Noah was very informative, friendly, and upbeat! He was awesome during the whole visit, and kept our drinks refilled. We both enjoyed our burgers. The fries were soggy, very similar to the chips. So that was a no go. But the in house made ranch was tasty. My friend enjoyed her blackberry sage margarita. It was a pretty drink. The chocolate chip cookie was soft and good! Definitely a must try. They're opening a bagel place directly next door, so we were given a complimentary coupon for a free bagel once they open! That was great!! The checkout process was simple and our food came out in a decent amount of time. They serve pasta, sandwiches, burgers, fish and chips, salads, several desserts, and more. The visit was enjoyable and the staff made us feel welcomed! Check them out!! 5 stars for service! 4 stars for the food!!

Rather small but it had quite a few tables filled. Seems to be a spot for "regulars". Which says a lot. I ordered my favorite- Philly Cheesesteak Omelette, with hash browns and a biscuit. Love their biscuits! The omelette was so light and fluffy and jam packed with the tender beef and peppers. The whole vibe in this location is great. Friendly - calm- definitely different than the one in Suffolk- and I very much enjoyed it! Prices are higher than I remember- but right now that seems normal. Almost 20$ for just my meal and a Mt. Dew.

I asked if we could sit on the side of the restaurant, but unfortunately they only had one section open, so I was slightly disappointed. But the waitress was nice about it. She took our order right away. We got a kids chicken tenders and fries, a chili cheese burger, and a hamburger steak with Mac and cheese and loaded hash brown casserole. The fries and tender tasted fine, but they were super hot. Not like they came out the deep fryer, but like they were microwaved to. My granddaughter was being dramatic, I thought. But when I tasted it, it was super hot! The meal came with like 10 fries total. Lol. My daughter liked her cheeseburger and tots, she also had about 10 tots. So they must count this stuff or something.. My hamburger steak came with one patty and it tasted awkward. It was freezer burnt. The waitress asked if I wanted something to replace it, but I didn't feel like waiting so I just picked it with ketchup and ate it. She did give me $4 off my meal which I thought was nice. The hash brown casserole was ok it seemed a little dry, but was still decent. When we boxed our food up, it was a brown piece of hair under the chicken tenders, so we just threw it away because I had already complained about my meal so I didn't want to make a fuss. I don't know if they had hairnets, but obviously they need them. I guess it's hit or miss. I didn't complain to much because you get what you pay for I guess. Maybe next time it'll be better...

We were approaching Farmers Market on Princess Ann Rd and Dam Neck Rd and remembered The Princess Ann County Cafe, we turned into the Farmers Market parking lot and saw sign in Princess Ann County Cafe window saying OPEN. I shared that I knew that the resturant had closed but was not aware they had reopened .. wife and myself sat down and made our breakfast requests and it arrived in a few minutes tasting as good as it use to taste when the Princess Ann County Cafe was open before. The resturant has daily "BLUE PLATE" specials and a nice variety of regular menu items to select from. Inside is cute and charming, we were seated at a spacious booth by the window and it was light and airy inside. Our waitress was prompt with the drink order and brought us both breakfast and lunch menus just in case. I saw several items I wanted to try - like a breakfast sandwich, omelette, lunch sandwiches, salads, and their daily special which was country fried steak. YUM. Their Blue Plate Specials for the week was loaded with savories that sounded good: country-fried steak, homemade lasagna, homemade meatloaf, etc. etc. You get it. My father-in-law would love it. My friend ordered the club salad with fries and loved it and I ordered the egg salad with potato salad as my side. Very good egg salad and the potato salad was delicious. I saw several things I'd love to come back and try and their prices are fair and selection is good. This isn't fine dining but it was good. And this is a cute little place in the Farmer's Market area. Service was good but not great, and it was a nice place to add to bring friends and family when in town who don't want to spend a ton and want a good meal.
