My husband and I stumbled upon Earthplace today while in Westport. We are so happy we did. Upon…read moredriving up you could see two distinct spaces; nature trails and main animal building. We weren't prepared for nature walks so we just viewed the trails. That is absolutely something we will come back to do. Today we decided to do the animal sanctuary. When you first go up to the building, make sure to look down and see the animal prints in the sidewalk. The price was $10 per adult (less per child) and we were happy to pay it since it went directly for the care of the animals. We started in the hall with the small critters. There is also a playroom for smaller kids. They have some centers and a huge tree in the middle of the room. There is a smaller kid section and a little nature movie theater. Very cute. We loved the critters and birds. Two in particular were VERY social. Pecans (an artistic dancing pigeon) and E.T. (a lovable turkey vulture). We spent a lot of time interacting with these two. We had some interactions with the staff and caretakers and it was pretty obvious these animals are well loved. The animals there are either surrendered or injured. We left with some items from the little shop-including art from Pecans. We will absolutely be returning. This was such a happy find!

The entrance to the building has a custom tile mural that is uniquely wonderful. You pay to view the animals are check out the dioramas, animals and exhibits inside. You can see the birds of prey which were rescued from the wild due to their injuries. You can go during feeding time. The entrance fees help to pay for the food and care of the animals. Wonderful space to get outdoors and appreciate nature. We saw a turtle, wild turkeys, chipmunks, birds and butterflies walking the trails. I will come back to enjoy this refuge and experience the postive effects of being out in nature.

Everyday they have a wealth of activities spanning from STEM to understanding emotions, which were great for overall development. We've recognized so much growth/development in a short time period. The facilities are state of the art. I love that they have a retina scanner, temperature monitors and the Zono Sanitizing Cabinet which uses ultraviolet light (not heat) to clean, so it's ideal for things like crayons, books, soft toys, backpacks, etc. Additionally, the classrooms and outdoor space is brand new and impressive. There's constant supervision of the children and their educators teach a curriculum that focuses on developing STEAM subjects (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics). The educators send pictures throughout the day of my daughter enjoying the activates. Additionally, the educators send a daily report at the end of each school day. The daily report provides insight into Nap Schedule, Meals (what she ate), Bathroom (schedule/ diaper changes) and Activities with which STEAM area was the focus of the activity. Lastly, Kristen (owner) and Nadia (director) are so personable and accommodating to our changing needs. Our daughter loves Kristen and Nadia and we're so thankful for them both.

I was polite and accepted offer and aware him that she will try it, and if not, she will lea that group, obviously she do not fit with 3-4 y.o kiddos, she is 6 y.o and 44 " tall. When I texted him and tell my opinion and wanted to stop that class Mike tried me assure that she still perfect fit for younger kids and do not ready yet for bigger kids (drumroll), he didn't know even yet which kids will be in older class, and their soccer experience, older kids class was after ours in Friday May 28, and ours was Monday May 24. My kid was participating 2 years soccer in Italian center and YMCA, but he still keep telling that he as master know better what class will fit for her best. I tried other methods just to get my money back and run from that business, telling him that it's to far and we can't make that time (originally was 3 pm, he moved us for 4 pm) . After that he catching that words I said, about the distance, and he can't refund me of that matter, and sorry , zero refund will be made.Next he ignored my messages, on the end he charged me unknown $81 fee and refunded rest . Additional want I would like to say, my husband ex soccer player, he was with us that day, and Michael or Mike have nice equipment, but he didn't bring genuine knowledge of soccer technique and how to teach to play soccer, good exercise and fun but do not expect more. Next, most places with pleasure let you try first class most for free, and a last, he charged our homeschool group $207 fee for 5 classes. Make right chose for your kids and your pocket.

Many of my friends ask why I chose The SoNo Field house over our many other options in Fairfield County. I direct them to my review of Overtime Athletics within The SoNo Field House. It is exactly the same. It has to do with the staff. Both companies have staff members that care about my child. He has learned so much about different sports because they are able to handle multiple children at the same time giving him individual direction and training when needed. I love the ability to pay online and email blasts of the upcoming clinics ect... Bathrooms are spacious and very clean. My only tip is when you see the email about a clinic or camp that you want jump on it. They often give early bird deals.

At the last minute I was forced to contact my 70+ guests to let them know the party was moved to my house. I had about 30 minutes to throw a party together in my backyard. As if that wasn't bad enough, I had to email and call multiple times the next day to even get a response from the event coordinator. She replied in the form of an email (seems to me a phone call is more appropriate, but ok) apologizing. I was told I would receive my refund of the payment I made in FULL, within 10-14 days. That never happened. It took multiple phone calls/emails and me even going down there to get a refund credited to me. When I was there the manager wouldn't even come out of the office to apologize in person. Sono field house not only has the most incompetent, unprofessional event staff I've ever encountered, they are also cowards. I'm a reasonable person and with me an in person apology goes a long way. I never got that. I would never recommend Sono field house to anyone considering an event.

In my first class, Christine was so welcoming and caring - it is enthralling to be present in her passion to let everyone be immersed in the joy of pottery. Priscilla is the same in her compassion and knowledge. They are two wonderful women who allow this beautiful place to flourish with incredible art lovers from all walks of life. Members come from all over Fairfield county and beyond - I'm lucky it is in my town. Teaching pottery is difficult because everyone progresses differently and the instructors here do an amazing job or balancing the individual handholding and maintaining order of the class. While I work on my pieces, I get to observe some of the instructors whether they teach a group class or a private tutoring class. To share a few shoutouts: Safiya is fantastic with teens in boot camps - (I just learned that she is starting to teach Friday evening classes!) Julie also is a caring and competent teacher. Cass is an outstanding instructor with a wealth of knowledge; and Kate is such a sweetie, too! All Everyone is here because we love the joy of creativity and respect each other's artistic abilities. I enjoy conversations that accompany creating art across diverse age/gender/backgrounds here. There's something for everyone. Whether you are a tired parent looking for a mental health respite, an exhausted soul looking to enrich your artistic side, or to glimpse wonders in your own creation in general, I would recommend that you pay a visit and talk to the owners what you would like to do. They would be happy to help you find a way.
