I spent $120 on a perm and cut, followed all the aftercare instructions (no brushing, no product, no washing for 48 hours), and the curl fell flat within hours. When I followed up, I was told I needed a "special brush" to make the curl show. I didn't sign up for a styling trick--I got a perm. There should be curl without needing a tool to prove it. What really disappointed me was the stylist's response. She cut me off while I was explaining, said she was busy, and promised to call back. She never did. I brought reference photos and even asked about using smaller perm rods. She reassured me it would all work out. Unfortunately, it didn't--and no follow-up made it worse. Long-term clients deserve better.
