I've been using Backyard Billy's for cleaning and service on my pellet stove for 7 years. My stove was serviced/cleaned by them in October, as we have done every year and now it's not working. I called for repair service and had to wait 3 days for a return call only to be told there were no appointments available until January. Backyard Billy's built us a shed that looked nothing like the one we had ordered. When I spoke to them about it, they at first agreed that it was not what I had ordered and looked entirely different, then retracted their statement, and refuse to give us our $6,000 back. I have asked politely many times...at first they said they'd give us some money back...and then they quit answering our emails and we never received a dime from them. They stole from us, and I cannot express how deeply disappointed I am in this company and the way they conduct their business. I would think twice before working with them. We started our search for a gas fireplace insert in October. After looking at some in DE we decided to check out the selection & manufactures that Backyard Billy's supported. We were surprised to find the variety they had on display. We were able to find the same manufacturer that we were impressed with at the other locations at a slightly better price. Beth was knowledgeable and helpful. We got the process moving. Brian came out and did the chimney inspection. We must have caught the purchase at the right time cause once we signed the agreement, the insert was installed. Brian & Tony did the installation. They were excellent. We would highly recommend Backyard Billy's with one caution, make sure everything is included in the estimate. Something was overlooked in our process. However, all parties came to an agreement, and it was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. read more

Poor communication on delivery timelines with shed purchases. Bill doesn't set the right expectation with customers. Things happen that cause delays, but when that's not effectively communicated to the customer it can cause major problems when you're planning your install. Buyer beware, expect to double the quoted timeline. read more

We purchased a ton of wooden Amish-made backyard furniture unfinished from Backyard Billy's in the summer of 2019. Build/Delivery time was reasonable and we couldn't be happier with our purchase. The delivery was included with the price and the friendly delivery person even assembled everything for free after carrying the heavy pieces up steps to our second story deck. He even moved some of my old furniture down the steps for me since I had injured my back. He offered advice on how/when to stain the pieces which saved us a ton of money. I stained the furniture myself according to his advice and it looks great- just as good as their stained furniture. We left our furniture out all winter and it's been in constant use this year and it's still as good as new. From now on, this is the only outdoor furniture I want. It's built to last. We now use our deck as much as any other room inside our house during the warmer 3 seasons. Our experience with sales people on site at Billy's exceeded my expectations. I was honestly overwhelmed and didn't buy anything on my first two trips because their inventory was so awesome. How can you even decide? Their smiling laid-back sales reps never ran out of patience. We love supporting local businesses and Backyard Billy's is the best! read more

They have serviced our fireplace several times. Responsive, punctual and reasonably priced.

I was there last month and all staff were wearing masks and were distancing. Was there last night again. No staff on the inside of the building we're wearing masks. I left to wait outside for someone who was free to help me and when a man came outside to help me he was not wearing a mask at close distance. I told him that I would prefer he wear a mask for our conversation and he waved me back and said "you just need to step back". I was not impressed and felt very dismissed by this response. He did wave down another sales person to assist me who was wearing a mask who was kind and helpful. I will not be supporting this business because of this disrespectful behavior. read more

Was there this past weekend. Got exactly what we wanted. They didn't try to up sell us and just gave us the straight deal on the furniture. We worked with Frank who also gave us some great advice. Could not have had a better experience. We're kind of in that gray area right now with masks, but he did wear a mask his entire time with us. read more

Our experience on site was great but since then it's been a nightmare. We were promised our furniture within 4 to 6 weeks. That was in May. It's now September and we still don't have our furniture. We've missed and entire summer waiting for furniture we paid top dollar. Billy's is not cheap, inexpensive furniture. It's high quality furniture so we were willing to pay more for it but didn't think it would take over 12 weeks. Starting in July, we began calling every two weeks to get a status update but no one had any answers. Not once has anyone offered any sort of financial incentive for our patience.  I spoke with Billy himself who went as far as threatening us with a restocking fee if we canceled the order, even though the items still hadn't been delivered from their supplier.  When the furniture was finally delivered, it was damaged and had to be returned. Still no acknowledgement or accepted accountability on their part. And we are back to waiting again. This review may have no impact on their bottom line but consider yourself warned. They don't care about you or your experience. read more

Bought wood pellets today, charging $5.65 a bag but fails to mention that the bags are 33 lbs not the 40 that you normally get for this price. Buyer be ware here! read more
