I may get in to trouble for this review.....
But I can't help it; I don't rate these guys too highly.
I booked in a tattoo with Bad Apples when they had just opened, and was hoping for better service than I received.
Over the phone they seemed friendly enough while taking the booking, but actually getting to the shop my friend and I were sent down the road to a different building that had no signage (which I'm assuming is because they don't want anyone to know about the stark room where they actually perform the tattooing), as the main store only does piercing. Which is too bad because the main store looks amazing. Where my tattoo was performed was not; it was clean but very depressingly empty.
I showed the artist my design, a very, very simple outline of a much beloved character from my childhood, to be placed on the inner heel of my right foot.
The artist looked at it, shrugged, made an outline and asked, 's'allright?' And that was pretty much the extent of our conversation.
My tattoo went (painfully) fine, but then if she had messed up a simple outline, I'd probably go apocalypse on her.
Meanwhile my friend asked for a bumblebee design to be made up for her tattoo from a few pictures she had brought in. The artist drew up a bee (which looked alarmingly similar to the pictures already brought in. No points for creativity) and my friend had it tattooed on.
About 7 months later, we noticed the ink has begun to 'bleed.'
Not a fan guys, tattoos are for life and the experience is part of the memory. I've had better experiences in dodgy parlours in south east Asia. read more
