Having discovered this hidden gem accidentally via Google, we made this archery range the first…read morestop of the day for our friend's bachelor party. Our group arrived around 10 am on a Saturday, just after an actual class was finishing up, and we were able to start immediately after a bit of hassle with paying (be forewarned: they only take cash). Given that none of us had ever shot a bow before, we were apprehensive at first, but the instructor was very understanding, and even stated immediately that his first priority was safety, and secondarily to improve our technique. He seemed rather strict, but I know it was so no one ended up with an arrow to the knee. In particular, he was extremely clear about when we were to shoot and even how to safely remove the arrows from the targets. Internally, I laughed because I've been to gun ranges with less detailed focus on safety. Once the group had shot a few rounds, the real fun began: he gave us some historical background on how commanders would command archers to loose their arrows, and even had us reenact the scene by having the bachelor issue the same commands to our group!
