The restaurant is small, nothing to stay long, but the menu is huge and the prices are fair. The staff is friendly, fast and attentive. The quality of the food is very good, nothing to complain, the quantity is perfect. No alcohol available, which is a little sad. read more

It was nice to come home for the Jazz Festival. Had a great time this year...great live music at every turn (some of it was actually jazz this time!)...but there is always the pressing matter of "right, so...shall we grab a bite, or...." and then finding a place to sit down. Now, me and our party of 4 were on the hound for a burger joint, and many of the really good (looking) ones had an expected wait of up to an hour..which is when we wandered passed Bad Boys BBQ, and decided to settle for it. The place is fairly cramped and it doesn't really have the most inviting decor. It was kind of a cross between a McDonalds and a food stop at Shopping Centre food court in terms of it's size and layout. All the tables and chairs are very "wipe-clean-able" (we ended up sitting on the high chairs at the back anyways), and it is all squashed to the left once you get passed the entrance. In terms of the food...I had a beefburger, and the other's had a pulled pork sanger, and the other just had chips (she doesn't eat meat, and there were no veggie or fish burgers on offer). Now, i will say this....the mince of the burger actually tasted very lean and of a high quality, and the burger was fairly big.....but it's McDonald's style french fries instead of proper fat chips. Overall, the food is good-ish, the staff are hard-working but not memorably charming, and the decor is very "eat and go". Nothing special. read more

Was rushing so only had time to try the Pulled Pork Sandwich. Meat was delicious, great flavour, tasty sauce, all the dressings were fresh, especially the bun. You can get this with fries and salad but it was perfect on its own. New place only open a couple of weeks, will definitely be back to try some more of the menu! read more

Definitely try the BBQ chicken sandwich! The smokey flavor of the chicken mixed with the chipotle mayo makes for a delicious sandwich. My fiancé had the beef ribs and loved them with the pepper sauce. This restaurant is just as good as (if not better than some) of the BBQ places we have eaten at back home. read more

Perfect meal, very quick and nice service. Food is plainly excellent no matter what you pick. First time I tried the recommended beef ribs and may I just say it melted on my tongue. Delicious! One of my favourite restaurants in Cork. read more

Just ate this evening in bad boys bbq, had one of the worst dining experience to date. Ordered the nachos and cheese for starters, portion sizes were very small, cheap nachos with very little added toppings. The steak sandwich I had for main course was the cheapest, roughest , most appalling meat I've ever tasted. I wouldn't have fed it to my dead dog sparky. Couldn't even begin to chew it, ended up spitting it out. Sundays are traditionally the nights I go for food with the lads, nights I enjoy , but that was simply shocking. Utter disgusting food. read more

If I could give it no stars I would what an awful experience, absolute dump, disgrace. The Food: Cheapest cut of steak couldn't tear it from my mouth I wouldn't buy it for a dog. Seating: Cramped felt uncomfortable from the get go. Even the cutlery was brutal. Best thing about the place was that it's next to son of a bun we nearly left after the starters it was so bad. DO NOT GIVE THIS KIP YOUR MONEY read more

Small seating area. Wasn't too busy so not a problem. Service was quick and friendly. I had pulledpork and it was savage. Will be back.

I tried the beef and pulled porked burgers at the street food stand on Grand Parade. These were probably the most disappointing burgers I ever ate in my entire life. The beef was completely over cooked and the quality of the meat was really poor. The pulled pork was completely tasteless with no seasoning at all. When you sell burgers for 6€ each you are in right to expect a decent quality but not here. I will never eat there again and suggest that you should go to Coqbull if you want a real burger! read more

The restaurant is closed now but I have had Bad Boys BBQ at Glow Cork and at The Moby Dick Festival in Youghal. The burgers are delicious and my favourite is the Pulled Pork. They have great chips as well - the kids love them! read more
