I have visited Bagel Nash on the south side of Steeles Avenue West, just west of Dufferin before. I didn't realize that it has a location in Thornhill! What stands out with this store is corn bagels. I have not seen this variety at any other bagel store. If you have been following me for even the last two months, you know that I have an healthy affection for bagels. After having a late lunch at The Corned Beef House, I noticed this Bagel Nash two doors down. Should I go in? It wasn't even a question. My feet automatically walked me into the store. Sugar-free cookies greeted me. Customers are interesting. Apparently, I was blocking a woman who was in a serious hurry on a Saturday afternoon. I stood in front of the bagel section for what seemed to be ten minutes. The corn ones were there. I saw these huge sesame ones. There are Montreal-style bagels that have poppy and sesame seeds on them. There was also cinnamon and a bunch more. Bagels are cheap here. A dozen go for $7. I went for it. I got four each of corn, Montreal, and jalapeno. This place also had a wonderful selection of baked goods and breads. I want to get a croissant next time. You can also get a deli sandwich. I liked looking at all the cream cheese spreads. The challah looked amazing. I can see making a bread pudding with it in my cards. I walked over to the cashout area. I let the woman know that I had a dozen bagels. She took me for my word, without even looking into my bag. Nice! She asked if I needed freezer bags. Even though I can inhale a dozen bagels in a few days, I asked for them. I paid using my debit card. The woman was friendly and wished me a nice day. I reciprocated. The freezer bags are wide. They aren't like the narrow ones that you typically get. They do the job. I have had the Montreal and corn bagels already. The Montreal one is a bit thin, but is delicious. The corn bagel is larger and it's just how I remember it to be. It's chewy with a hint of sweetness. I like this store. I'd come back. Staff are friendly and I love how fresh their bagels are. It's a bakery. Nothing fancy but the bagels are fresh and there are multiple spreads to pick from, as well as a few salads. If you fancy a bagel with cream cheese, this will work just fine. If you're looking for a breakfast sandwich, no luck at this location. The counter staff are friendly. read more

Our family's go-to place for bagels. Nash is the only place in the area that I know of that offers Corn Flour bagels(!). Wow. My wife who is allergic to wheat loves the corn flour bagels. Amazing. They also have Tel Aviv/flat style bagels (regular, wheat flour) which I absolutely love. I find the Tel Aviv bagels hard to halve at home so sometimes if I get lots I ask for the front to slice them for me (there's a small charge). Friendly. Affordable. Yummy homestyle spreads. I need only what we will use up - eg a half container of cream cheese. "Waste not, want not" :) On a silly note, I think their lettering unintentionally resembles some aspects of the rock band, Iron Maiden's logo... which subconsciously makes me think they are edgier than they would be otherwise. Today my friend (together with her Service Dog)  and I walked into Bagel Nash located at 7355 Bayview Ave, (Bayview & Lauraleaf Plaza) , and almost immediately were confronted by a disgruntled employee behind the counter, telling us that dogs are not allowed. After my friend expressed that she had a doctor's note and that her dog was a Service Dog, the employee responded with "we are a food establishments we don't want dogs here!" We were both godsmacked and immediately lost her appetite. REALLY?? PLEASE educate your staff @Bagel_Nash Invisible disabilities are everywhere. They affect millions of people. They should be held to the same standards and considerations as all other disabilities. No person should be discriminated against because of disability hidden or visible. Bagel Nash not open sells Bagels... but a lot of other baked goods and sweet!! Cookies.. Cookies... Pastries...Almond and Raspberry Jam filled Pretzels... Cookies are 80cents each... which I enjoyed over a cup of coffee... Staffs are friendly and nice... can't wait to try out more of the other desserts and pastries next time! read more

Love this place. The bagels are fresh and price point is decent. The staff is friendly. Recently, I've found that the bagels have a very flour-y powdered taste but would still continue buying from them! They have these divine almond clusters that are just perfect fistful in your mouth or in your oatmeal. I won't lie, I do feel the quality is slightly slipping!!!! Please don't let this happen as its my guilty pleasure. The pumpernickel and wholesome bagels are to die for. I would skip their home made cream cheese. Omg!!!!!! Fresh hot bagel heaven. The Challah is also out of this world too. If you are a fan of fresh baked goods like me, then you need to come here. The coffee is also pretty spectacular I walk 30 minutes one way daily just to get my coffee fix (and my steps) read more

While the food is good, it was quite disheartening to see most of the staff not wearing masks. I went in on the 23rd and 30th and on both occasions most of staff not wearing masks. The 23rd was just 2 days after mask mandate removed and most customers still wear mask. Disappointing that staff including man who I believes runs the store had such little concern for our safety read more

Their bagels are 5 stars in taste hands down! BUT... ...They lose a star because their quality has gone down AND they charge more for less. WTF. I get the whole slow economy and high gas prices and businesses have to make a profit and blah blah blah, but seriously! The size of their cakes have gotten so much smaller that they don't even fill the whole cake pan anymore. It was actually embarrassing taking one of their cakes as a gift because it seriously looked measly. ...The other star is simple customer service. It's great that they offer specials like "buy a dozen bagels and get 6 free"; it's terrible service when they fail to let their customers know about these specials, only to find out about the special when they're leaving (thanks to the fat billboard sign - and not a word about it when paying). read more

Bagels is the name and that's what they have. And much more. Like most bagel shops they have a nice collection of breads and cakes for any home. Great bagels fresh on site from the oven. This is great place in the morning! You can by fresh croissants and bagels. Or if you need have a fast lunch here very delicious sandwiches.

Their garlic and herbs cream cheese is off-putting and very fake in flavour, just gross, and my bagel was pathetically toasted, I wonder if they even toasted it at all (I asked for it toasted.) their brownies suck and their selection apart from bagels is just stuff I can buy at bulk barn or Walmart. Nothing special, Tim Horton's bagels and cream cheese are better. read more

I have been going to Bagel Nash since 2005. Great fast & friendly service. The Montreal style bagels are my favorite!
