    Bagels with Cream Cheese
    Lucy S.

Fresh is best! Bagelino's was kind enough to invite me to taste test some of their delicious, gourmet bagels. Lucky me, awarded a fresh batch (they were still warm) of these artisan creations that were airy, slightly chewy and paired perfectly with their creamy, easy spreading, house-made herb and garlic cream cheese. Can you think of a better combo?

Extremely overpriced. 6$ for a bagel with cream cheese? Seriously? That's ridiculous. I got a sesame bagel with bacon, egg and cheese and it costs me almost 9$. I was expecting this bagel to be pretty loaded as I'd spent 9$ for an entire meal most other places...nope...could barely see the egg or anything. Very light portions for the high price. Look at the picture to see yourself. Also, I got a large mocha, and it costs me 6.25. Maybe the most I've paid for a coffee at a bagel place EVER. Bagels were fine. Won't be returning. Not worth the mediocre service and hole in the pocket you'll leave with.

Cheese Bagels NOT Everything as we ordered and Eggshells throughout
    Brad H.

We ordered two sandwiches with Everything Bagels through Uber Eats, and got cheese bagels which was a minor issue, but as I took my first and only bite I had egg shells throughout my mouth. The restaurant did not help with the issue at all and would not refund the order. Unacceptable and do NOT order from them, they could care less about customer satisfaction. PERIOD

    Rainbow bagels at Bagelinos

I pre-ordered online and got a text the same evening confirming my order and pick-up time. I was very impressed! I ordered the rainbow bagels and a few other varieties. The rainbow bagels were great with the funfetti cream cheese! The bagels have no preservatives, which is great. You just have to put them in the freezer if you want to have them for another day. The staff were friendly and the location is a short walk from the C-Train.

Bagelino`s has been kicking around Calgary`s downtown core for awhile. I remember frequenting the Bagelino`s on the corner of 4th and 4th for years, before it disappeared and for me, "miraculously" cropped up again on 8th Ave and 7th Street. Seeing that I am watching my waistline a bit, I dont indulge often at Bagelino's, since bagels are a healthy choice, but not a diet-friendly choice. Today, I succummed to Bagelino`s because they had a board out on the sidewalk advertising Tomato Soup as the special. Tomato Soup is one of my favorites, so I was drawn in. For lunch today, I did enjoy the delicious, homemade Tomato Soup, and I also got a whole wheat vegetarian bagel sandwich. Over the years, I have tried different sandwiches there, and they have never disappointed me. This restaurant has recently been bought and sold and is under new management. As a result, I have seen no change for better or worse in quality. The bagel sandwich I had today was consistent with the whole wheat bagels of previous owners and location. Delicious, flavorful and fresh.

    Points app

I LOVE their homemade bagels. However the service and manager are less than satisfactory... I have this app to collect points from downtown businesses. I work downtown and often share my experiences and try and support local. However I showed the staff this app (correct name and address) and they didn't recognize it so called owner "Paul". Paul told me the app uses them as an "example" and they do not give points away for anything... which is fine. However he was not courteous and could have handled the situation different. It's not my fault the app was listed and in use.. he could have thanked me for letting him know of the issue. Great bagels- bad service. Not sure if the manager cares about walk in clients!

I had the cheese and onion bagel and it was different than most bagels in a good way. It was more fluffy and gave a bread-y experience. Don't forget to get the cream cheese! The combination was perfecto!

I finally found the best Bagel shop in Calgary! Their bagels are made fresh daily throughout the day so you get fresh warm soft yummy bagel all the time. You need to come early as they close at 4 pm (weekdays) and during the weekend which is a bummer. The owner, Paul, is very friendly and the service is really good. They always make me feel welcome -almost like coming back home. I love their onion and garlic bagel as well as the cinnamon one.

Finding it and driving downtown almost made me late for a vacation tour but it was worth it. So good.

If you didn't know about this spot, you might easily pass by without a second glance. Scozzafava's serves up authentic, classic Italian sandwiches that just slap. They use a soft sesame seed bun, which probably is the most unique part of the sandwich. For their marinara sandwiches, I wish they used a thicker bun to better absorb all the sauce. The sesame bun didn't keep its integrity, sadly. The meatball marinara was glorious! Slightly spicy, super moist meatballs, slightly sweet marinara, and perfectly paired with bitterness of the rapini. Don't forget the cheese pull! We also grabbed the classic Italian deli, which was scrumptious and very filling. You can't go wrong with either option, in my opinion.

They offer two fresh soups every day which are clearly not canned and made from scratch. They also offer a different special every day of the week that can be supplemented with a salad or a small soup. These specials range from clubhouse sandwiches, to spring roll on vermicelli, to mac n' cheese (scratch made). One of my go-to places for lunches and as a soup connoisseur they are able to beat out most places by providing homemade soups instead of the typical generic Campbell's stuff you find in most delis. One thing I would like is for them to switch up and try their hand at making other soups because I have been here so many times the soups are getting slightly old (but still tastier and better value than Sunterra) TLDR: Soups good, specials can be good, sandwiches fresh, salad available.

The ranch burger and milkshake would of been more than enough for me (as that was a very hefty burger!) but also tried their smash browns (big potato chunks crisped up and super delicious enough to take home the remainder). I really liked the layout and lighting in the restaurant but as an added bonus, there is also a patio out back (I think you still need to go inside to order at the counter though) and free 3 hr parking for those eating there. I didn't realize about the parking until after I was done my appointment (that would of saved me from struggling with paying for parking on an old iphone that doesn't like indigo QR links...). So now I know for next trip to Calgary this is the spot to stop. Also, just an extra nod to the the two working (I believe they both were owners). Super friendly, will chat or leave you to enjoy your meal and really went the extra step with bringing out the good hot sauce and ketchup even before the meal was ready.
