Choosing legal representation is a critical decision, and I want to warn others so they do not have to go through what I experienced. ​Throughout my time working with this attorney, I encountered an extreme lack of professionalism, responsiveness, and basic responsibility. Important communications went unanswered, and the overall handling of my legal matter was incredibly negligent. A lawyer is supposed to protect their client's interests, but I felt completely abandoned and misled by their irresponsible attitude. ​Because of the severe misconduct and lack of accountability, I have taken formal action. On June 29, 2026, the State Bar of California officially received and processed my formal complaint against Phyllicia F. Marquez.
