We went to Roxas Law for a divorce consultation for my mom. Sandy was easy to talk to and seemed to understand most of the issues. Unfortunately the consultation is only 30 minutes and it is not enough time (in my opinion) to adequately meet before committing to utilizing their services, given the cost. We went to Rojas Law over a child custody issue. We paid for a one-hour consultation, and honestly she was great. She was very compassionate, straight with us, and really took the time to explain things in a way we could understand. What I respected the most is that she was honest. We were in a vulnerable spot and ready to hire her right then, but she told us the truth -- because of our kid's age and the way things were, there wasn't much she could do that would actually help. She also had a lot of insight and experience with the judge on our case. She explained how that judge tends to look at situations like ours and how they would probably rule. Because of that, she chose not to take the case, knowing the outcome wouldn't change much. I really respected her for being upfront about that instead of just taking our money. I had a consult with Sandy in December '23 regarding a potential divorce and got some good advice but did not retain her at the time as we were still trying to reconcile. In March I decided to retain her services to proceed with the divorce and called her office. I was told she was out for the day and wouldn't be in until tomorrow. So I left a message, explaining that I wanted to hire her and asking her to call me. No one from the office called back. I stopped into the office two days later, and again, after explaining I wanted to hire her, was told she'd call me. After two weeks of waiting I retained another attorney. Absolutely amazing. For 2.5 years of my high-conflict divorce. I owe my life and utmost gratitude to Sandy, Troy, and Adrian.
