The food here is noteworthy for being your standard chain restaurant dish. I do like their coconut shrimp. This place is definitely good for happy hour, especially if you have a large party. Expect everyone to be happy with the drink menu, because they have selections for all kinds of drinkers and non-drinkers. There are also pretty decent deals. I do think the decor here is pretty cool and you forget you are on the side of route 38. In search of a good hamburger in the Philly/Cherry Hill area I was told Bahama Breeze had a wood fired grill and knowing how burning wood enhances ground meat I stopped in to test the charred delicacy. Once there I was surprised at the friendly service and cool decor and music. I was not let down. Now when I visit I am sure to stop in and "hamburger down". Other little offerings are nice too. Munchies to calm the hunger while playing like you are on the islands while actually at the big Cherry Hill Mall. Try the big platter of onion rings with the grilled burger. I'm giving one star for cleanliness.... Which in turn effects your food. We walked in and it smelled like someone had smacked me in the face with a dirty sock. The carpet was gross! I went to the bathroom to change my sons diaper and found black crusty mysterious gunk in the crevices of the changing table. The high hair for my son felt sticky so I wiped it down with a baby wipe.... 3 baby wipes because the first one was so black with dirt that I needed more. Just gross. Food was good. Liked their beef empanadas and coconut shrimp. Knocking off two stars for cheating on the bill. Our server was a bit inattentive, but that didn't bother me because it was a busy Sunday evening. However, my boyfriend and I had to leave quickly to catch a movie, so I asked for the check while we were still eating. I paid with my debit card but only received one receipt copy. I thought it was strange, but didn't think much of it. Still left a decent 18% tip, because he helped us out to get out of there quickly, signed, and left. I think I'm the only person left who balances a checkbook, so I scribbled down the total amount on the back of a little pamphlet that came with the check, and shoved it in my pocket to write into my checkbook later. Anyway, the charge clears today, and lo and behold the charge is for $3 more than what I signed. It's not a big amount, but it is stealing, and it makes me unhappy. Also, I didn't give him a bad tip in the first place! I've got to give it to the waiter, because he was so smart to only give me one copy of the receipt. This way, I have no way to prove the extra $3 charge, but believe me, I'm on a tight budget so I keep track of every penny I spend (to my boyfriend's chagrin). We were first seated near the bar where the margarita machine frequently squealed loudly. But that's not my complaint. We witnessed a worker on a ladder filling the machine. The problem was that he only had narrow access to the top of the machine, so that when he poured the juices, some of it ran off the edge of a wooden shelf before falling into the machine. I never knew of this mouth watering place until Dec 2009. When I discovered the best spicy Habanero Wings wings known to man. I was in the area for the weekend and we decided to go here because they were open late. But to think, I was so close to going to Fridays, and then I would have never discovered this place. When you walk in, its an island vibe, from the music to the staff shirts. The staff is very friendly and more than helpful. Like I said get the Habanero Wings and the Firecracker Shrimp, it comes with this sauce that is so good. it reminds me of spicy mayo. I had the steak which was really good with the pepper jack cheese on top. My bf had the Calypso Shrimp Linguine, again really good. Drinks are great. The only complaint is that there are none in nyc, what a damn shame. I found out there is one in Wayne, NJ. It is worth the hour drive, put it that way! read more

Came in, floors were so sticky you can hear people walk. When mentioned to the waitress she acknowledged it but nothing was done about it. Utensils were dirty & menu was sticky. Service was good. I love this place! It's so much fun, the staff is friendly, the drinks are great, and the food is A-OK. I went in June on a warm night and met up with some friends, had some drinks at the inside bar (there's an outside bar as well with a carribean band which was awesome) and then we sat for dinner in the inside dining area. You can also eat inside or outside in the summer. We had the island flatbread w/ chicken as an appetizer and it was very yummy. I also tasted the jamaican chicken wings which were good but the dipping sauce was way too hot...I mean REALLY hot. For my entree, I had the lemon-garlic tilapia with rice. The fish was okay, rice side was great. I also tasted the smothered pork tenderloin and that was amazing. I would definitely recommend Bahama Breeze - but only in the summer and it's a great place for families, dates, friends, whatever. read more

We usually avoid "chain restaurants", but this is the exception. From drinks (an expertly made and delicious coconut Mojito) to appetizers (shrimp & lobster quesadilla) to dessert (a PERFECT Key Lime Pie), the food is exceptional and prepared as if they really care about their product. Even the Lobster Mac and Cheese was full of lobster (with a fried lobster tail on the side!) and was much better than the same dish at one of the DDD restaurants famous for the dish. No comparison. But an evening at Bahama Breeze is about more than just the food! Sit outside and immerse in the Bahamian atmosphere of the live music (steel drum, of course). One of those restaurants that makes you feel like you're on vacation - without an endless and expensive commute. Tying the entire positive experience together was a fantastic server (shout out to Jen) and a personable and actually pretty FUNNY manager, Ryan. They both were just so laid back and natural, that it was like joking around with old friends. A truly great night, thanks! Another important note: Though there was quite a wait (Friday evening), we were seated immediately because we had called ahead. Love when restaurants honor their reservations. P.S. We have eaten here but this review is really for their happy hour. 4 to 6, $3 20 oz. drafts and bottles and $4 specialty drinks. Almost all of the appetizers are 1/2 price. Sampled almost all of them and cannot complain. Bartenders and waiters are on point. Friday nights there usually a steel drummer with a cool reggae vibe. We really appreciate this when its 10 degrees out and the warm cool riddems (along with drinks) wash away the stresses of the week. read more

Absolutely amazing! We had the coconut shrimp appetizer and the lobster and shrimp quesadilla. Both were so flavorful and perfectly portioned. My boyfriend and I split the rum and coke chicken and ribs that were hands down the best ribs I've had in a long time. i love this place!! i eat here evry chance i can get. Their strawberry mojitos are amazingggg and for apps.. i always get the jamaican beef patties,or plantains w chicken. I came here with my best friend for dinner. The wait for the seats were quick especially for a Friday night. The food here is really delicious. I enjoyed it. What I dislike was that I had to wait for my food for a bit. Also we didn't like the service of our waitress. She never came by to asked how we were doing. She didn't give us water. She wasn't around for us to ask for water. We had to ask someone else who brought our food to the table for water. Also even the simpliest thing we didn't have, such as coasters. My husband and I were at the mall and we're looking for someplace to eat lunch. We knew we wanted something sit down, so we went outside to look at the restaurants. The first one we didn't like so we decided to try the one next to it which was Bahama Breeze. We had never been there before so we weren't sure what we were going to experience. From the moment we walked in we felt like family. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Our server Lori, was probably the best I've ever had. We told her we hadn't been there before, and she knew the menu like the back of her hand. She was able to make some excellent suggestions on food and drinks. We enjoyed every bit of it! Nice family restaurant with an island vibe. Appetizers are amazing but their menu can use some updating. Last time I went I ordered the Jamaican jerk pasta. I hated it. They give you some thin sliced looking meat that suppose to be chicken but look like some type of rat meat. I was instantly turned off but paid for it and threw it away once I got home. I recommend the buttermilk chicken and mash or the mango glazed salmon. As far as the drinks don't expect to get buzzed off of any of them. The only issue is at the end my friend and I both gave our CC at the same time to split the bill. For some reason my CC was ran for the full amount and my 1/2 portion so now I have two charges taken out of my account event though it's pending. Will update the outcome by Wednesday.
