Great Latin American Food. This is mainly Dominican / Puerto Rican style dishes. Simple ingredients but packs a powerful punch of flavor! My recommendation is the arroz con gandules or Moro rice with Pernil - throw some yuca and platanos maduros , it's a party! Service was great, place seemed cleaned, order came out quick. Not 5 stars because they could work on the aesthetic as well as having healthier options, most of the food here is fried (probably with the same oil). Love it! Would come back if I'm in the area - but definitely not EVERYDAY food. So much calories!!!

I've been coming here at least 3 times a week since I discovered this place. The food is really good and cheap. I still have to try quite a few items but what I have tried (beef, chicken, black beans and rice, yellow rice, plantains, tostones, fried cheese, potatoe ball and the fried yuca) is very very good; especially me being from Venezuela I can say it's authentic and delicious. I usually get the combo platter with beef, black beans and white rice and plantains for $6!!

Like its larger sister business in East Camden, Latin American Restaurant serves up delicious, inexpensive food with large portions and lots of flavor. This location is obviously geared for the take-out lunch rush, but there are a few seats, including a few outside, if you're looking to sit down. There's a wide array of food on the menu from which you basically put together your own platter. A favorite of mine is pork and plantains over rice and beans.

The food here is delicious. It's one of the best latin restaurants I've ever been to. It's inexpensive and the service is great. If I don't get the mangu I get the rice with gandules with pernil and sweet plantains. I highly recommend this place.

The food here is very delicious. The only downside is that it gets really crowded during lunchtime.

This is a great place with authentic cuisine. We started with the chicken Empanadas which were crispy on the outside and full of delicious flavors on the inside. I'm sorry we didn't try the beef and cheese ones...maybe next time. The seafood paella was full of shrimp, octopus, mussels and chorizo over seasoned rice with fried onions, red peppers and peas. The chorizo was so good I got a few to take home. The ropa vieja was beef which was slow cooked to the point of falling apart and melting in your mouth with potatoes and a side of rice. There were three in my party and we all had at least seconds and still had some leftovers. Very enjoyment meal and would recommend.

And, our portions were big enough to enjoy the deliciousness at another meal. Would return without hesitation!

Although there were open…read moretables available, the staff seemed a little reluctant and initially offered me a seat at the bar. I preferred to sit outside, so I was eventually able to grab a table and a menu. It took a little while for someone to bring water and utensils. By the time they came over, I was already ready to order. I ordered the bistec encebollado and was impressed by the portion size! they give you a generous amount of steak. Unfortunately, the steak had quite a bit of fat around it, which isn't my favorite. When the food arrived, the rice was packed into a small cup, which made me think everything would be served hot. Unfortunately, none of the food was warm. Everything was room temperature and lacked flavor. Because it took a while for my meal to arrive, I got the impression that it may have been sitting out before being served. I ate it as it was because I didn't want to wait any longer. Taste-wise, the steak needed more seasoning, although the beans were good. Overall, the meal was average. After finishing, I asked for both a to-go box and the check. About 10 minutes later, the check arrived, but no box. One employee, William, really stood out. Whenever he stopped by, he was attentive, friendly, and on top of things. I appreciated his service and how proactive he was in checking on guests. Overall, the service had some delays, the food temperature was disappointing, and the flavors were underwhelming, not sure if I'll try this place again.

We came specifically to try the tapas and loved every dish we ordered. My husband's favorite was the Gambas al Ajillo. I couldn't decide between the Bruselas Catalana and the Coca de Alcachofas, loved both, and would definitely order both again. The overall experience exceeded our expectations and was totally worth the visit.

The ambiance of Amada's is very "date night intimate". The lighting is fairly dim and the temperature of the restaurant is kept a bit warmer (the open marches concept probably also has something to do with that). It is tapas style so whole my boyfriend and I waited for the paella, we got a few plates to graze on. We started with a charcuterie with the jamon Serrano and manchego cheese. Im a big fan of truffle honey and you can't really go wrong with a simple charcuterie. We also got the setas and ensalada Verde. The mushrooms were well sautéed and the sauce they were served with was absolutely delicious. The ensalada verde was very much green heavy but thats exactly what we wanted. It was auite refreshing and the oil dressing wasn't overpowering the taste or making it feel greasy. The Paella we got was the squid ink rice - very flavorful. There was shrimp, clams, squid, and chucks of monk fish. It didn't feel like the seafood was skimped on. The only thing I personally felt was too much was the spicy mayo dallops. I felt like they made the dish feel heavier than necessary and overpowered the taste of the rice. The arroz con Leche was divine. Im biased because I love rice pudding but I think adding the puffed rice on touch was such a nice touch.

Air conditioning was cranked-up high. I was freezing. And music was a bit loud. But we were there for the food. And here's what we thought: ** El Cubano is a pressed Cuban sandwich. I chose it because it came with a salad, what they call 'tropical chips' and a cup of black bean soup. The soup was flavorless, the chips -- are they strips of fried plantain?! -- delicious, and the salad, fine. The sandwich is okay, my husband favoring his more than I did mine. (Good thing cause he's getting the half I didn't eat, for lunch today.) ** The winning dish may be Levanta Muerto Seafood soup with mussels, crabmeat, shrimp, and scallops in a rich broth. ** Sangria is disappointing with barely present, minced fruit. Tasted like cheap and weak red wine. A half pitcher fills about four glasses. When seated, you're presented with a basket of toasted bread and a ramekin of infused butter. It looked like turmeric, but surprised! It was sweet, likely cinnamon-sugar. A nice touch. We arrived literally eight minutes after happy hour ended, so we missed their discounted drinks. As the server said, we would have had to sit at the bar, which I would have done but my friends likely wouldn't. Oh well. Anyway, service was fine, prices a bit high, food was okay -- doesn't compare to Norcross! -- and reservations strongly suggested.

There are big manual fans at the top which were pretty cool to see. The place also has a decent happy hour menu but only available at the bar. The table got bread and mango butter. I really liked how crispy the bread was. It had been pressed down very thin. I got the empanadas which were really good. The main dish (pinchos de camarones), had way too much salt on it. It was nice they had shrimp that also incorporated a kimchi salad. For dessert, the tres leches cake was a delight. I liked how spongy the texture is.
