The staff & curriculum, coupled with core values to set a strong educational foundation, can be compared to what public school used to be in the 70s and 80s. There is no comparison to modern public or even private school these days, because Seashore would win by a landslide. My child has only attended Kindergarten so far but will continue until 8th grade, because I've witnessed first hand how the rest of the kids all operate on campus; for example, visiting a public school is like seeing little feral zombies running around, but the Seashore kids appear to possess critical thought naturally due to the customization for each child, paired with a screen free environment. Based on the quality of the instruction, my son excelled academically and is tri-literate in Chinese, Spanish, and English. My son speaks Mandarin at home with his mom and attained the global seal of literacy for Spanish. The only reason my son no longer attends Renascence is that he wanted to experience a school with a larger class size and more students. (He now goes to a school with over 100 classmates just in his grade.) Based on the instruction my son received at Renascence International, my son was one of 25 out of 500 students out of district that tested and were accepted at Oxford Academy in the 7th grade. The quality of the teachers and curriculum are excellent and without this instruction, my son would never have made it into a public school that is rated #1 in California and #19 in the United States. Currently, he is taking advanced math and is the only non-hispanic child taking advanced Spanish in his grade. Aside from Islamic studies, they also offer the traditional math, science and English - all NAEYC accredited meaning they have met rigorous standards essentially meaning Pillars provides a high quality early learning experience for children. The teachers and staff are wonderful. They greet and walk each child to class and you can really see how much they care for your children especially with the big hugs hello or goodbye. We have brought our daughter here for nearly four years starting in toddler class. We are very…read morefortunate to have had Ms. Adriana; after toddler class, Ms. Neda with the help of Ms. Flores. Because of them, we had stayed a year longer than we had originally planned. We will send our second if we had one. This location is located farther inside the complex so there is very limited through-traffic. Majority of through-traffic are other parents or school staff. You have to check-in and check-out your child for drop-off and pickup. It is nearly impossible for a child to wander out of the building without staff noticing. Ms. Wendy who is in charge of front desk area has been a pleasure to work with. As far as I have been there, she has known the names of all the children that go by the front-desk. My daughter and her friends are all happy to interact with her. If she was not there, there was someone else to make sure who goes in and out the front area. We had opted into the extended care which allows us to pick up our daughter later (4:30) than the standard school hour. This allows me to have more flexible time to pick her up after work. I believe they have option to extend farther (I think 6 but not confident). We also paid for the year long program which also allows additional care during the school's standard days off like spring break. For any random incidents like scraped knees, minor injury from playing, etc., are reported and provided to parents. Over a few years, there will definitely be students and parents that are not a good fit. We understand this can happen at any school. The staff were able to handle these situations to our satisfaction. Our overall experience was very good. I would recommend this location.
