I am not one to give bad reviews, unless its food. But for what I paid and for as long as it took I…read morefeel I must speak out. This was a very rare coat..in fact I bought the last one. I took it in to be tailored as it was a bit over sized. When told that wasn't something he wanted to tackle.. I asked to have a zipper installed as I am a disabled vet and had problems with the original snaps... long story short he removed my snaps (The zipper was behind so no need) installed fake "Rivets" and didn't even seat/secure them with a tool..just pushed them in "Plugged" the hole with them. Well I lost two of them the first night I wore it. I found them on the floor. I ordered a tool to see if I could seat them, but I bought cheap wrong dies that wouldn't work. The second night worn, the zipper tore loose from the hand stitch. All in all this was beyond a shoddy rushed job that I waited over a month for. I paid $200 for the coat and $150 for this "Work". I didn't take it back and complain, I figured this is the work they do and didn't want to wait weeks again to wear a football jacket when the season is about over. I know how to sew (Thanks grandma) so I will take the $150 loss and just do all the work all over myself. So maybe I got a bad day job, I don't know...but I am throwing this out there to all. If it happened to me with my prize item..I would think hard about giving them your item. I am adding pictures of rivet heads, holes in jacket and zipper and stitching.

Was glad to see a local, storefront shoe repair shop in Pendleton and decided to try to support a…read morelocal business. After showing him the two pairs of shoes that I needed to have repaired, he said one of them couldn't be repaired and then tore the other pair apart even more. He took a $5 deposit (the total amount I am used to paying for similar small repairs the next town over) and charged me $19 when I picked them up! Still, I thought I would try one more time, so I asked about a leather cushion which had taken on the smell of the puppy that kept sneaking onto it. He convinced me to purchase a $12.80 bottle (TINY bottle) of liquid that he guaranteed would remove the odor. I also asked if he could repair a pocketbook handle and trim. He said he could and that I wouldn't even be able to tell he had worked on it...Well, the fluid I purchased did not work, and he charged me $40 to repair the handle and it looked AWFUL! Crooked stitching bumps and lumps where the repair was made - just sloppy. He said it was the fault of the original handle "melting" when he tried to repair it (even though he knew it was synthetic when I left it with him) and asked what I thought. He didn't really care, though, as he still charged the$40. I handed him a $5 off coupon I had gotten at the grocery store, which he started complaining about since he had "paid $600 to run it in September since that is when the students would be back and they had the money." I also told him the product I had purchased didn't remove the smell. He became very gruff and peppered me with questions about how I had used it, etc...Although I told him I had done exactly what he said to do. He said he would refund my money if I returned it. My daughter was going that way later on, so I sent the bottle (very little left after using it full-strength as he had said to) with her. He refused to give her the money back because it was empty! All he cares about is $$$$$ - better off buying new shoes and a new purse next time!
