I'd leave zero stars if I could. Larry Brent is unreliable, unprofessional, and negligent. He will…read more"schedule" you an appointment for his services, give you a bunch of excuses as to why he can't complete your project in a timely manner, and then will ghost you for a few weeks before ultimately cancelling on you for another project. He'll keep you on the hook, have you waiting around for his schedule to open up and then blow you off for something else. Save yourself the hassle and hire someone that values your project, time, and money.

When he broke off and started his own business we wanted to support him in that endeavor. Unfortunately, he did not prove to abide by his word or his work. A few months early I arranged a start date of early October for our project. Timing when staining your house is critical. If the temps are too cold it won't cure and we knew we had a relatively small window of 4 weeks or so before winter might hit with snow, precipitation and cold temperatures. We live a few hours away from this house and what happened is that Larry took other jobs and chose to do those ahead of our project. Time got away from him as he tried to cram in as many jobs as he could before winter and we were none the wiser as we weren't around to notice that he wasn't doing our house. In November we made a visit and saw that the house was not completed and the weather was not cooperating anymore. To add insult to injury, the work he had done was not done well. He had sprayed the stain but not back-brushed so the cedar lap-boards have a line of drips on each row like little seeds dangling. You can see where he walked as he sprayed upward onto the covered porch ceiling leaving a jagged line. AND HE SPRAYED THE COVERED PORCH DECK AND WALKED THROUGH IT LEAVING BOOT PRINTS in the wet stain THE ENTIRE 60 ft LENGTH OF THE DECK! Larry promised to get the house finished asap and remove the boot prints. By December he called and said he was finished and asked for the final payment of a number of thousands of dollars so he could buy Christmas for his kids. Well, I paid and when we arrived to celebrate our own Christmas at the house we saw that he did not finish the work. His solution for the footprints imprinted in to the stain was to take a sander and sand the decking to raw wood and put a light layer of stain on it. So now we have long footprint sized splotches on the stained deck. We still have not had the deck re-stained because we have to have the deck completely sanded first and then stained and the cost for that is prohibitive right now. WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS
