After a couple of weeks Breitling contacted me with bad news. The watch was not repairable. The parts were no longer available and they said it was a total loss. They did offer me $2,000 in credit if I let them keep the watch. Something told me to get the watch back. Which I did. A family member told me about the watch mechanic. I figured that I had nothing to lose. Within a week I was wearing my vintage watch again and it keeps perfect time. I will never buy another Breitling again.
