Alright the first time I had this I was blown away. It really was so good. I think I had sesame chicken or general tso's or something. I thought I found the hood Chinese food of my childhood dreams, the one that tasted good every time you had it. Buttttt I was mistaken. Growing up in Chinese-American communities in NYC somehow didn't expose me to too much Chinese-American food, which I think we can all agree is its own category separate from Chinese food (with myriad cuisines within that category too). So classics like sesame chicken, General Tso's, egg foo young, really only came into my consciousness when I ate with people whose only exposure to asian food was through these takeout restaurants that you can find in just about any NYC neighborhood. Places like Baili have proven to me how much I've been missing out. They actually own the fish market next door so their seafood is quite fresh. Granted, General Tso's shrimp is largely deep fried breading smothered in sweet sauce, but really what's not to like about that? Even my seafood fearing dining companion couldn't resist. The shrimp egg foo young was another hit, with generous pieces of shrimp and an entire container of the tasty sauce to pour over the fried egg. Like many other reviewers have mentioned, their food is less greasy than what you might find at other takeout restaurants. The lack of grease was most noticeable in the chow fun, though I found the noodles a bit overcooked. Portions are generous, delivery is fast and the prices are right. You get a free can of soda for every $10 you spend, which I'm told is pretty standard at takeout spots, but good to know for anyone who is as clueless as I was. read more

I was coughing nonstop recently and was looking for hot soup to soothe my sore throat. Then I came across this place and decided to check this place out. The restaurant has Healthgrade A rating but does not look too tidy. However, the food here is great, and they give free canned soda if you order $10+. The price is very affordable, but they only accept cash for pickups (idk about delivery..). I enjoyed the food, just wished they clean the dust on the fan and resolves fly problems to attract more customers. Will come back again though! read more

Good morning, We used to order food from here plenty of times. Unfortunately last night was the last, my son found a dead fly in his shrimp and broccoli. We understand things may happen but the way the restaurant dealt with it was disgusting to say the least. We went and showed them the picture and they wanted the food back...unsanitary. Then when we told them to have the delivery guy come back to the house they argued with us. He finally came back and with an attitude threw the money down on the porch and stormed away. This place was just a Chinese take-out with two windows to order and four seats available. A surprise to me. From the yelp reviews, I though it was a sit down restaurant of impecable quality. With that being said, the food was average, and not bad. I would have eaten somewhere else, but since I was already there, I made the most of the situation with average Chinese take out food. Love this spot! Great for take out. So far we've really enjoyed the beef and broccoli, the ginger tofu, general tso's tofu and the curry beef. SO GOOD. the beef is consistently so tender and the food is always fresh like never ever stale, rice is always hot and moist. Oftentimes when we pull up for our food they're literally plating the food in as we're paying. All the food is flavorful, plus there's always a generous amount of vegetables. read more

I've ordered on Grubhub a few times and the delivery times have been fast and food has always arrived hot. For a Chinese takeout restaurant, it isn't as oily as others. The boneless spare ribs are salty, so be warned! My go to is the steamed pork dumplings that come with a delicious hot oil. Best take-out Chinese food in the neighborhood and I'm not giving out 5 stars solely because I'm tired of Caribbean food. The roast pork fried rice is AMAZING and I get it every time we go to Bai Li. If you order $25 worth of food, you'll get a small container of roast pork fried rice for free. It's my favorite dish here. The pork is very flavorful. We're also big fans of the Mongolian beef with scallions and fried tofu with vegetables in Schezuan sauce. The vegetables retained their crispness and were not overly cooked as is often the case. The prices are cheap. The food is really delicious (not just good for take out food, but simply good food). They do deliver if you live really close by, but we have to drive. My girlfriend LOVES the food from here. They are the only place we can get a decent Sesame Tofu. They don't deliver to our area unfortunately, but they are very prompt. On my most recent visit, they forgot something. Instead of treating it like many places would and just feigning ignorance, they called us up to tell us that they forgot something and I should return. Definitely the best Chinese in the neighborhood. Good, "cheap Chinese," but less greasy than others - I don't feel gross after eating. General Tso's shrimp combo is great, the roast pork fried rice is really good. They also have great egg rolls, dim sum style crispy spring rolls filled with mushrooms, and possibly the best hot and sour soup I've ever had. Quick delivery, too. Definitely recommend. They own the fish market next door, so they do all types of fried fish (really, so many - look at Menupages) and also gems like fish with broccoli and garlic sauce, and General Tso's fish, of course. Update: I have been off meat and dairy for a little bit, and this place has been a godsend of vegetarian, vegan treats. General Tso's Tofu - where have been all my life? This place hands down has to be the best hole in the wall Chinese restaurant in the Flatbush area. They own a fish market which is right next door so they make great and well seasoned fish. The fried salmon and fried tilapia is off the chain. They also have blue snapper & red snapper which they steam. I never had it but my friend loved it. I wouldn't eat there tho(It's real small). Delivery times are pretty decent even during high call times(4pm-8pm). The guy that works there is a cool guy as well. I highly recommend this place read more
