This place is awesome! What a great little spot to stay in the middle of our road trip to Loreto. Loved the rooms and the decor!

The hotel has a full service restaurant that serves regional Mexican food and two bars -- Mexican beer costs about US$2 per bottle. For dinner, we had chicken fajitas and grilled fish, both with freshly-made tortillas and delicious guacamole .  The fajitas were very good; the fish overcooked.  Chilaquilles with eggs, muchacas, frijoles, and potatoes for breakfast was good. Tortillas are freshly made.  Service was friendly but slow. Only instant decaffeinated coffee is available.

We stayed early June, immediately following the end of the Baja 500, and fell in love with the place. We were just left wondering why such a stunning place would be empty at this time of year? Sure, the courtyard was beautiful, hotel right on the water, and the rooms were spectacular! Can only imagine it was because everyone cleared out of town the day before. Overall, had fantastic stay at this place. Good tequila pours, fabulous location, and great room. Can't wait to drink one tequila too many again at this place:)

I was impressed with the easy check-in and spacious room I was assigned. Rooms face the parking, so you can park right in front of your room. The room had AC/Heater, free WiFi, wooden shutters on the window, good room locks, reasonably comfortable bed, hot water at both the sink and shower (some Mexican hotels only have cold water at the sink). There was bar soap and shampoo, and a little packet with a cloth to shine up your shoes. There were limited but adequate electrical outlets for charging your devices. No iron nor ironing board, but, seriously, who comes to San Quintín needing that? There was a place for hangups and drawers to stash clothes or other items. There is a fairly nice full service restaurant on site, but I really recommend the burritos at La Moreliana open early morning till 2 PM, a very short walk north (about the equivalent of a city block or less). It's not a luxuymry hotel. You won't find a pool, jacuzzi, sauna, golf course, a bathrobe, nor mints on your pillow, but I've stayed here before and it's a nice, clean, and safe place to sleep. Some reviewers complained of street noise. I had room 101, the closest to the highway, and did not notice the traffic noise. I didn't feel the need to use my White Noise app. This is your best option for miles.

You can cook your own food on their grills or pay for food. The have a food hall in which everyone who orders food come together and eat. The breakfast costs $8 and dinner $15. They also have snacks, drinks and ice for sale. What I loved the most was the night sky. I can't begin to describe how MAGNIFICENT the skyblooked at night. You could see the Milk Way's glow! There were so many shooting stars that I lost count. The reason I gave this place a 4 was because of the particular situation that happened that night. The ranch has rules that says lights and music are to be turned off at 10 pm. There was a family that did not respect the rules and keep their private party going until 4 am. They were politely asked to turn down their music and keep in mind the other guests at the ranch. They ignored the guests requests and continued on with their racket. Unfortunately the ranch's staff did not tell them anything that night. The staff was made aware of the situation the next morning, but by then it was too late as most of the guests didn't get a good night sleep and had to continue driving. Even with this particular situation I would consider going back because the night sky with all its glory is worth the drive!

There is limited electricity. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. My husband ordered a tomahawk steak from cattle grown on the ranch for dinner one night and he enjoyed it. Otherwise the food was fine but not exceptional. The draw is the wilderness. If you were going on to the national park, this would be a great place to stop. As a stand-alone destination it was interesting but I feel no need to return.

There are off-road vehicles in the background, but unless it's a massive holiday, it's not too bad but it isn't a bad idea to have ear plugs on holidays when they can go all (all) night. This is Mexico, so expect a slower pace and a more casual RV experience without the amenities you find in an RV "resort" in the states. My 5-star rating is not to be confused with a 5-star RV resort in the USA. What you will find are some small-to-medium sites with full hookups and some without hookups for boondocking. There are clean bathrooms & shower facilities if you don't get a FHU site. There is a restaurant/bar under a big patio covered by a thatched palm frond roof located right on the beach. The food at the Palapa restaurant is muy bueno - especially anything with shrimp! The drinks are very good, with fresh-squeezed lime margaritas, delicious tequila sunrises & pina coladas. The sunrises are amazing and the beach is quiet and peaceful. During low tides you can walk out several hundred yards. During high tide in the mornings, the water is slack and perfect for kayaking. The Romero family that owns & operates this place is so friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and accommodate your needs, whether it's an activity like off-roading, fishing, dining out or getting services from town. Yes, some of the sites could use leveling and there is a fair amount of construction debris and trash that could be removed to improve the ambience. They are currently working on refurbishing several beach bungalows which will provide another nice option for visiting San Felipe in a car. If you are someone who only stays in 5-star RV resorts in the US, Victor's may not be for you. But if you want to park your RV steps from the beach and pay a modest sum to stay in a little piece of paradise in Baja, come on down! The drive from the border near El Centro CA is very easy and the road is good. It's just as safe as driving through any rural area in the USA on a decent highway. Once here, you can escape the hustle and bustle, traffic and noise to find true tranquility on the beach. You are close enough to town to walk or ride your bike to the Malecon where the shops, restaurants & bars are plentiful. A little further away is the CaliMex market, offering fresh meats, produce, baked goods and other groceries typical of any US market. There are many gas stations, an AutoZone, dentists, pharmacies, optometrists & doctors. I wouldn't hesitate to return to Baja on our own or with a group and I would be happy to stay at Victor's agai

Like "it's my bday and if I want to have a good time at the hotel for the day it'll still be perfect." And it was. I didn't want to risk it with a sketchy motel and I'm glad we didn't. 1)The people were nice and the rooms are beautiful and clean. That's all I'm looking for and if you at too this place is great. They have from basic rooms to king suites depending on your budget yet still cheap compared to the states resorts. 2) It's right on the beach 3) Wifi is a struggle everywhere in Mexico that's not full tourist town (Cabo, etc) but good here 4) Restaurant in house. They closed early the night we were there because it was slower season but we didn't hold it against them. One of the men at the front desk offered to grab us something on the way to pick up someone from town and brought it to our room. It was the best room service I've ever had. It was delicious and great hospitality if I've ever seen it. I'd definitely return We considered stayin close to the central "strip" before booking but though some of the hotels there were nice and they're close to all the restaurants and bars, they weren't quite as nice of a feeling we wanted to relax. Noted: the drive is very long so we decided to book a room in a hotel. It was letting us know ALL hotels & Rooms were book except 1 room in Las Palmas 3star hotel or 1 in San Felipe Marina Resort. We took the chance and decided to Book a room at San Felipe Marina Resort the room was a total of 4 rooms! Which was the only one available. The rooms were beautiful! Clean and a beautiful view. Our room didn't have a refrigerator as my in laws room had a refrigerator and other amenities. Not a big deal since we had a cooler with ice the entire time! The hotel is on the beach. The beach was less then 2 mins walking distance from our Jr Suite hotel room. The service was what really sucked. The "young" boy who checked us in had the worst attitude ever as if it was an inconvenience we were checking it. He forgot to include the free breakfast ticket that we needed for the next day to get the breakfast before had. We walked ALL the way on the other side of the resort for the free breakfast and also order additional food we would pay which was no biggie. The lady was cleaning the floor still and the restaurant Was opened for 2 hours already with no one it. We needed a slip ticket to the free breakfast so we had to walk ALL the way to the other side of the resort again to go to receptionist and ask for the ticket since the boy "forgot" to give it to us. So we walk back to the restaurant and turns out " Free Breakfast" is actually only fruit OR Apple OR Orange juice. One of those 3 choices only. Which was really disappointing we ended up just getting the kids one Apple & One fruit small plate so they can share. We ended up leaving and stopping somewhere else to get breakfast. So Free Breakfast is really ONE free Snack. Overall, I give a 3 stars, a very relaxing quiet resort, just poor customer service.
