I honestly don't know how else to describe this place other than DELICIOUS. This has easily become one of my favorite fish taco spots out here. The food reminds me so much of places like Taconazo and Señor Baja the kind of fish taco spots I grew up around in La Puente and Baldwin Park so there's definitely a little bit of nostalgia for me too. The fish tacos are amazing, the shrimp tacos are amazing, and the ceviche BOMB. I haven't really had anything here that disappointed me. The prices are also really reasonable, and their fish taco specials are such a good deal. I also love that they have different specials throughout the week because it gives you a reason to keep coming back. The restaurant itself is a pretty decent size, and they also have a small outdoor seating area. My only advice is to pay attention to what time you go. The restaurant is located in more of a warehouse/industrial area, right across from a bunch of businesses, so lunchtime gets PACKED with workers from the surrounding area. If you go during peak lunch hours, expect to wait a bit. After around 1 PM, it's usually much easier. Other than that, I really have nothing bad to say. The food is consistently good, the prices are fair, the specials are great, and this is easily one of my favorite spots in the area. Definitely recommend. read more

UPDATE: This review is based on the experience, not the food. The food is still great! We liked the food from our previous visit, so my wife and I decided to come back on Friday night. They have daily specials, and Friday happened to be shrimp tacos, which was perfect because that's exactly what I wanted. One thing I really appreciate about this place is the reasonable prices. We ordered 2 shrimp tacos, 2 potato tacos, a fish taco, a surf & turf taco, chips and salsa, and a drink. Even after adding a tip, everything came out to under $30. You really can't complain about that, especially since the food was great again. However, there was one thing that really bothered me this visit. When we walked in, the server told us not to sit on the right side of the restaurant and to only sit on the left or middle section. It was around 5:40 PM, and they close at 7 PM. I understand wanting to start cleaning and getting things ready before closing, especially if the restaurant isn't busy. But there was still more than an hour before closing, and customers were being packed into one side of the restaurant while the other section had open tables that we weren't allowed to use. Take a look at my picture. One side is packed and cramped while the other side has available seating. If you're still open and serving customers, I think people should be able to sit at an available table, especially when the section you're directing everyone to is already crowded. I could understand doing this closer to closing time or when the restaurant is nearly empty, but at 5:40 on a busy Friday night, it just didn't make much sense. Again, the food and prices are great. My issue with this visit was strictly the customer experience. Good food brings customers through the door, but good service is what makes them want to come back. read more

The restaurant is over by the San Bernardino "International Airport," which I put in quotation marks because only two airlines fly out of there and there are two only two destinations: Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. The restaurant looks like a converted fast food place. They have daily specials. When we went, it was a Friday and the special was the fish tacos. The servers were friendly, but the bathroom is locked and restricted to customers. Honestly, the place is off the beaten track in an odd place in the city where it is unlikely we'll go there again. This is a solid option to have in San Bernardino! Found this place on yelp today and decided to try it because I wanted to try something new. The fish tacos were bomb! On Tuesdays they have fish tacos for $1.97 and for the amount of food they give you, it's such a steal. The shrimp tacos were also really good but they leave the shell on for those and I'm not a fan of that. These tacos were a bit heavy but the cabbage and tomatoes on top help with the fried fish. It had nacho cheese instead of shredded cheese. I would probably stick to their seafood offerings moving forward, but this does satisfy the craving for carne asada fries. Enjoy fresh for the perfect French fries that are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Service here is so warm and friendly, even my mom commented on how nice they are. They continued serving well past their 6:30pm listed closing time, and they even made a point to stop by our table to tell us about the last call (around 7pm). Call before you come if you are cutting it close to closing time, but it is very kind of them to accommodate so many people and orders past their scheduled closing time! Customer service here is absolutely terrible, from the girl taking orders to the owner himself. As this business has grown, the service has become awful. Our company places large orders here almost twice a week, but after what happened recently, we will never return. We placed 7 lunch orders during the lunch rush, and one order was missing. We called to let them know, and they told us to bring the receipt. We sent our 17-year-old intern to pick up the missing food, and instead of resolving the issue professionally, she was met with attitude from the girl at the front, accused of lying, and even yelled at by the OWNER himself. The owner then began speaking Spanish rudely, assuming we would not understand. "Sí entendemos español, y en ningún momento es correcto que como dueño de un restaurante agreda a alguien, especialmente a una muchacha joven. Usted es un hombre y debe tener más respeto. Como dueño, fácilmente pudo haber arreglado la situación y darle los dos tacos que faltaban. Hizo un gran drama por DOS TACOS. Hasta que otra persona que escuchó la situación ofreció pagar los tacos con tal de que usted dejara de agredir a esta muchacha. Tenga un poco de educación. First of all my fish taco was really good. I ordered the combo that came with a drink, a fish taco, a shrimp taco, and fries with everything on my tacos for $11.95. All the fish and shrimp tacos are fried and served with cabbage cream tomatoes and salsa. I also ordered a chips and salsa for $8. The tacos were great but came with 3 corn tortillas and super packed. I removed some tortilla because it was too much for me. The fish had a great flavor. The shrimp was huge and came with 3 tortillas 3 shrimp inside. The batter on the outside of the shrimp tasted like it was sitting there and not freshly made. The fries that came with my order looked really good and were seasoned with salt and an all purpose seasoning. The fries looked better than they tasted. The fries were not fresh, not crunchy and I only had about 5 before I decided to throw them away. The tacos were also served with a yellow pepper with seasoning on the outside which was really delicious. The chips and salsa were a waste of money. It was THE worst salsa I ever had in my life. This location is on the way to San Bernardino airport. You can see the planes take off from the parking lot. For a Friday night, they weren't too busy inside. Only a few other tables were occupied. After trying La Bufadora's Baja fish tacos, I've been on the lookout for other places that serve Baja fish tacos. This spot serves theirs with large pieces of fish, though the batter is more on the saltier-side. The tortillas are perfectly cooked and stuffed! I wish their grilled chile guerrero (yellow chile) could be charred a bit more to add some Smokey flavor. Also ordered a quesadilla for my little one and the pepino (cucumber) agua fresca since it looks so refreshing. If I had to choose one taco to order here, it would be the shrimp tacos. They were perfectly cooked, not overly salted like the fish tacos, or dry like the Al pastor. I had to wash my hands in the restroom and only one seemed to be available that day. Delicious spot with great weekday specials! I tried several tacos, and while the pastor taco and birria taco were just okay, the seafood is definitely the reason to come. The shrimp taco was great, but the fish taco was the standout and easily my favorite. The surf and turf taco had great flavor, though the steak was a little chewy. When I called back to explain that hanging up on a customer was completely unacceptable, he responded by threatening to cancel my order. Although he ultimately did not cancel it, the entire exchange was so hostile and inappropriate that I genuinely no longer felt comfortable eating food prepared by an establishment that treats its customers this way. I've never encountered such rude, dismissive, and aggressive customer service. If this is how the owner handles a simple issue, I would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more
