I saw the pictures first and already knew I had to try the El Quero Panzon, Birriongo, and the Tatochos. Every single meat I tried was flavorful, tender, and juicy. The birria was especially delicious, rich and full of flavor. The Tatochos were a fun twist too, basically tater tots loaded with cheese, bacon bits, and meat, and they did not disappoint. Service was also a big plus. It was my first time and I wasn't familiar with the menu, but the server was super friendly, helpful, and gave solid recommendations without making it overwhelming. The food is great, the service is good, and it has a late night vibe to it. Every time we come it's always clean and the staff are always friendly. There's a good amount of seating too for a small location like this so they utilize the space well. They've added an order kiosk too since we came last and they had high chars for the babies. The flavor of the meat was tasty, but overall, the portion and presentation definitely did not justify the nearly $6 per taco. Service wasn't great - my simple request to separate tacos was ignored at first, and the chef was rude about fixing it. They also charged an extra $1 for consume, which is usually included with quesadilla tacos. Spent nearly $20 for 3 tacos and left disappointed. Definitely overpriced for what you get. read more

I want to give an update to my last Yelp review on the salty food, and 1 star rating i gave previously. So the owner/manager reached out to me letting me know that he would investigate why as to why the food was so salty. Owner/manager sent me a message telling me that the recipe wasn't being followed correctly overcooking the meat thus making it salty. I commended him for taking my Yelp review seriously and took the time finding out what was actually going on. He has asked me to come back to try the food, eventually i will. Wow. Heartbroken. We have raved about this place for a while now and were SO disappointed with our order today. The tacos were SOAKED in grease. The entire bottom of the plate had a puddle of grease. My sope wasn't AS bad but it was also greasy. The tortilla for the burrito was over cooked and the meat for everything was lacking the flavor we've come back for so many times. We didn't recognize any of the staff members working tonight. They all looked young. Not sure if this has affected the quality of the food but it was a major letdown. Food: I got the birriongo and 1 cabeza taco. Didn't realize that it would be a lot of food but the flavors were amazing. Birriongo was cooked to perfection and the consomme was so good that I didn't mind drinking it out of the cup. Cheese was melting in between the meaty portions and the pickled onion they provide was icing on the cake. Very acidic, but sweet enough to kick through the oil and umami. Service: Service was kind of bad. I'll never understand why a place can justify a service charge for credit/debit card users. I hate using cash. The ladies behind the cash register seemed like they didn't want to be there. Yikes. I get that you have a small rush but at least greet us and help us with the menu? Overall, the food is fantastic. The first day you can tell the carne was made fresh, from its taste to its texture, and juiciness. It was definitely up there with some of the best carne asada I've ever had. Second day, not so good. Parking is in the back and there can be some questionable characters out back by the dumpster, but their food is delicious! I was sad they didn't have pico de gallo as an option at their salsa bar, just traditional spicy green and red salsas.
