If the phrase "hidden gem" didn't exist, it would have to be invented for this stellar bakery!
I come here whenever I can, and if I lived closer, I'd be here whenever they were open, no exaggeration.
They are only open 2 days a week (Tuesday and Friday, 3 PM, until they've sold out) and whenever I am not on a diet or not far away, I make a point of coming here. I will not say that these are the best croissants in this city, because this would diminish their quality! If this restaurant was in Sao Paulo, New York, or--dare I say--Paris, it'd be one of the best (if not THE best!) croissant bakeries I've ever been to! Hyperbole? Not on your life!
I get here 1/2 hour before they open to wait on line for their goods and it's time well-spent! Their croissants melt in your mouth! Chef Cedric also makes other goodies which vary from week to week, and each and every one of them is worth 3X what they charge!
