Melvin conducts the assisted stretching and goes over the daily exercises as well as therapies to conduct each visit. He offers a variety of options when necessary and I appreciate that as different muscles aren't as cooperative as they use to be. Unlike other chiropractors who just do adjustments and keep you coming back for regular appointments forever, McKay Chiropractic works with a goal of fixing the problem so eventually you won't need to come back! Adjustments alone only fix the problem in the short term. He combines adjustments with a focus on therapy to fix the underlying cause of your spine being pulled out of alignment to begin with. Using his chiropractic medical skill he determines which mussles are responsible for the misalignment or pain. Then he uses exercises targeted at those incredibly specific muscle groups to correct the problem. For me, it took a couple of months, but afterwards my back alignment was corrected not only on the short term, but the long term as well.
