They also trimmed down two large avocado trees and removed a dense undergrowth around the palms that had non-native plants and weeds. It was a two-day project, and I am very happy with their work. Bad experience. Brand-new house, needed brand-new landscaping. The 'Designer' came to the house only once, & I didn't see her take notes. Bad sign. A number of the plants installed were in bad shape; they lost leaves soon after being planted, and didn't grow an inch in 5 months. After many texts, emails and complaints some of the plants were replaced... after Baker grumbled that we were "too far away" (website says serving Broward County...well, sometimes). One tree snapped in two during a small storm, at a scarred section of the trunk: the tree had been wounded long before it was planted in our yard...yet they wanted us to pay for replacement. Two gumbo limbos had to be replaced because they were weakened, barely-hanging-in-there trees. For everything we asked there were many, many texts and emails (and much delay) to get any results. Would never recommend Baker to anyone. I'm giving 3 stars because 3 out of 5 plants looked decent, and the person who was in charge of our installation is a great guy. read more

Had a sprinkler system that wasn't functioning. Baker came for an estimate which I accepted. They claimed that I needed a new valve which I agreed to have replaced. They insisted that the work had to be paid for in advance and I gave them my credit card. About a week later, a technician appeared and did some work. He left without saying a word. I tried to turn on the system and it didn't work. I called them and finally, after a week, another technician appeared. He now said that I needed a new pump. I have been calling them for ten days to get an estimate but with no answer from their irrigation department. I have given up on them and hired another company. HORRIBLE SERVICE read more

I have nothing positive to say about this company because since it takes care of the property landscape where I live , mowing the lawn is badly done !! With seven full grown and out-of-control Black Olive and Live Oak Trees requiring complete take-down and removal from my backyard -- all of which were seriously jeopardizing my house in high winds -- I began interviewing various local companies and collecting quotes. Baker's quote fell right in the middle. They were priced fairly, and their expert advice and attention to what needed to be done, was unsurpassed. It gives me great pleasure to submit my personal accolades and provide each person I had the pleasure of working with over at Baker, my heartfelt "Thanks" for a 3-Phase Job ... Extremely Well Done! From my initial consultation with Scott, to Chris (the tree felling Crew Chief), to Alec Baker's wonderful assistance and attention to detail with my final tree & shrub selections -- along with his expert handling of sod and tree installation -- I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Their crew was careless and clearly not well trained for cutting down the proper branches. One guy blatantly dropped palm fronds on top of our paddleboards that were sitting on the grass. There was no effort to knock on our door to ask to move them OR to even pick the palm fronds up. I had to pick them off the boards myself and wash them off. Additionally, our two cars and patio were left absolutely covered in tree dust when they parked the tree chopping machine right next to our door. I also had to clean up the cars and entire outside of my home because they left without performing any additional clean up. They also trimmed too many branches on three trees so they are left looking very bare and will grow unevenly now. I would not recommend Baker Landscaping due to their poor training of employees and lack of proper clean up. read more

I cannot say anything good about this company! I live in a lovely development for 14 years where the landscape was beautiful and lush. Since our Board hired Bakers Landscape, 3 months ago, our lawns have been chewed up leaving huge divots throughout our community every time they mow. We had a problem with a palm tree that had finally cracked horizontally, about in half, from it growing on an angle (gravity) and from recent high winds (mother nature). A neighbor recommended them to us and I called them to have someone come out. Dan called me the next day and he said the crack was too severe to save it and the only thing would be to cut it down and remove it. Dan was very knowledgeable, respectful, and helpful, so it was an excellent experience dealing with Baker Landscaping and I would certainly refer them to anybody. FIVE STARS+++ read more
