He wanted to use the DV case for leverage of Equitable distribution and when I did what he ask me to do, he lied to me. unless it will benefit him financially he will NOT fight for you. They want to make as much money as they can to do as little as possible. He is evasive and manipulative and he Lies. If your kind they will run all over you. if you trust them they will use your Lack of knowledge about the law against you. It's a broken system. unless you are rich and can pay for the "extra" time it will take for them to actually collect evidence needed to fight for you then all you will get is the bare minimum. it's not about Truth or facts. Mrs Patrick dismissed my case intending to refile and did it WRONG. The opposing attorney told her TWICE that she was doing it the wrong way. As a result my entire case was dismissed. I had to allow her to fix her mistake . The NC bar has already agreed she did indeed mess up. She lost the appeal and Rule of 60 (do-over) cases. As a result...I got nothing- no child support, alimony OR retirement. She has the least amt of liability insurance an attorney can get (100k) and NOTHING is in her name. I paid her over 50K- she had to do an appeal and rule of 60 for free. She now has several attorneys representing her, and their attorney fees are paid by liability insurance. She refused to settle or discuss a settlement. I never felt she had my back, intentionally put things off, and was a terrible advisor. We never had a meeting before mediation, she was never prepared, and always seemed lost when appearing in court, and was dominated by the opposing attorney. I do not recommend using her !

Makes you wonder who is really writing these comments eh? Gotta get those positive ratings up right? My experience is about the same as "Eric's". Our adoption process was left frustrated, double-billed, and ultimately left out in the cold. Law firm changed us for a "paperwork prep" time that obviously needed more prep since the lawyer showed up to court without all the papers that we gave her. A 1/2 day of leave and babysitter fees gone in the wind. Did she ever appologize? NOPE! Was the prep charge refunded?..NOPE! Filed Termination Order with obvious errors. Birth dates of children in question were wrong. If you do the math on the errors, the children would have been born less than within the same 6 months of the year, to make matters worse, we were told we would be charged again for the correction.....WHO LEFT THE GATE OPEN? Deleted correspondences, messages and charges for service paperwork off of the mycase website. Why delete this information unless you have something to hide? These are just 3 specific examples of our frustration. After we scheduled a date to sit down with the actual attorney for Wednesday the 1st, and not with the 2 assistants, we were told we weren't over-charged and that they weren't serving us anymore, all this over "MY CASE" website, not a phone call or in a personal discussion. How's that for service people? So, do you think I'm a fictional person making this stuff up? Lets wait for a response from them to see?
