This park is very clean. It's a really big and beautiful it has a few different playgrounds one hidden a little bit further away for the littleer kids. It has a bunch of different little pavilions with their own grills that you can rent. It has a kayak rack where you can rent to keep your kayak stored there for safe storage. And it has its own boat dock for small boats and a boat dock for actual boats. There's a canal that has salt and non salt water combined. There's a big stage area where you can rent for dancing or shows. There's a decent amount of parking. There's a lot of walking areas which connects to another park as well. This park is absolutely stunning and 100% worth going to. read more

This park is one of the most beautiful parks I have been at and as you all known me I've been all over the country. The benches are not all regular but some are swings, the playground is over the top and they got a little hidden one too, the layout, the path of shells, the water view etc etc and then a dog park attached... amazing spot!! read more

The first half of Baker Park which included the kayak launch, fitness facility, and outdoor terrace opened on March 14th and the remainder of the park with the main building and bike path officially opened October 29th 2019. The park started out as Gordon River Park but it's name was changed after Jay and Patty Baker donated two million dollars. Jay Baker was CEO of Kohl's and Patty Baker is an award winning Broadway producer. Although the city had wanted to build a park for years, plans started taking shaping in 2013 when Naples purchased seven acres adjacent to the old city horticulture landfill. Five acres were then added along the Gordon river. Construction broke ground in 2017 and the fifteen acre park took three and a half years to complete. The land to build the park was purchased for three million dollars, the park and main building cost fourteen and a half million dollars, the bike path cost a million dollars, and the Blair Foundation Bridge cost four million dollars to build. Naples received seven million dollars in donations for the park. There are so many great amenities at this beautiful park. There is a kayak launch onto the Gordon River and you can leave your kayak if you have a permit from the city. The park also has an outdoor fitness facility, sunrise terrace at the river's edge, a thirty-four foot high grassy knoll with spiral path, main building, bike paths, performance stage, playgrounds, splash pad, boat dock, picnic areas, and a pedestrian bridge over the Gordon River. Once you cross over the bridge you can connect to the Baker Trail. You can enjoy water sports, fish, bike, hike, picnic, and play in this gorgeous space. Such a lovely evening exploring this beautiful and well manicured park with excellent walking trails. My only complaint is that they have very dim lighting on the playgrounds and they're open until 10. In the summer that wouldn't be an issue but when it gets dark at 5, they need better lighting on the playgrounds. read more

This 15 acre park on the Gordon River is adjacent to the Naples dog park. Located in the downtown Naples area close to 5th Avenue, it has many outdoor activities for kids. The park opened in 2019 so it's fairly new. read more

Omgsh I want to meet the designer of this new park! Cant say enough good about it. Boat docks, canoe holders, workout zone, kiddie play area, bbq picnic table, lots of water and beautiful landscapes, flat paved sidewalks for walking and biking, bridge, goes on and on Scenic for photos, wedding portraits, lots of sunshine. Shade is missing for a few years as the young trees need to grow This park connects to the other side where we use to walk. You can go for miles. Took a weekend getaway to Naples for the 4th of July weekend. In between hours spent at the beach we like to explore local parks. This one in particular had a splash pad and playground that I knew would win the kids over. It was an extremely hot day so it was an added bonus. Upon arriving to the park every was extremely clean and well kept. You could tell this park was fairly new. There is a playground for ages 2-5 with an integrated splash pad and another playground suitable for ages 5-12. Aside from that we're two huge dog parks. One for small dogs, the other larger dogs. We happened to bring our small dog on this trip so he was able to take advantage. There aren't too many things for them to play with in such a big space. It would be nice if there were obstacle courses or ramps to keep things interesting. Al in all it was a great experience. I'd definitely come back next time I'm on the west coast. read more

Baker Park has to be one of the most beautiful and well laid out parks I have ever been to! Near the entrance is a dog park, a play ground and a water splash pad. There are many paved paths and wooden bridges over lots of water. Plenty of sunny as well as shady areas to hang out in. There are little nooks with charcoal grills and picnic tables. There is an airport on the outer border and it's cool to watch planes take off and land. There is a separate path just for bikes where pedestrians are not allowed, but also the other paths allow for both. Everything about this park screams high quality, from the outdoor gym area to the cable railings on the bridges. The hours are 6am to 10pm. read more

Amazing beautiful park with lots of trails to walk. We brought our 1 year old and 2.5 year old and had a great time watching the plane fly over, going over the bridge, and playing on the playground. Since we are visiting, we have plans to go daily. read more

Baker Park officially opened October 29th 2019. It is the new hype in Naples. Expect for the park to be packed with children. There are tons of walking paths. You can reserve picnic gazebos and grill. They have a canoe/kayak slip and docking spot. They have boating slips if your a local and boat you can come and dock and enjoy the park without driving. Great views to the bridge that take you to Greenway park. High hill vantage point to see 360* view of the park and you can take the stairs or there is a graded hill path for those who cannot. It's very pet friendly, bike friendly (paths are wide), and very good for motorised chairs and there is a workout station. There is the play area for kids and small one for playing 'Pirate'! Big green spaces to play with your pets and our kids (play catch) or frisbee! Right near the Naples Dog Park too, if your pet is very socialized and can run free and play. Then put them on a leash and walk Baker Park. read more

We visited Baker Park for the first time and were impressed with the variety of things to do and how big it is. This newly constructed park actually reaches all the way to the Naples Airport and from an overlook you can watch jets land and take off, as well as boats meaner by the Gordon River. If you want a closer look, there is a footpath that will take you over a bridge crossing the Gordon River near the mouth of the Naples Bay. There is a wonderful green to play sports and the paths leading around the park meander through a small wetland, and past benches next to the waterfront. The playgrounds are pretty awesome too, with lots of entertainment for the children. Bring your kayak if you have one to launch from the launch pad, though I don't think you can drive up to it. read more

This is such a beautiful little park. Too hot in the heat of the day in the summer, but great otherwise. The park has water, safety cameras, clean restrooms, picnic tables, barbecues (bring your own charcoal), an outdoor gym, and a launching area for kayaks. There is a lovely walkway along the river that goes all the way up to the Gordon river greenway parking lot on Golden Gate PKWY. I think the walk (one way) takes about an hour or a bit more (not sure about this, as i walk slow and stop for butterflies). You can also ride a bike on this path, but please be polite to the walkers; they have the right of way, so slow down and don't scare the bejeebers out if them! This would be a great place to have a little "pickinickee" and read a good book. Where to get your picnic fixins around here? May i suggest Wynn's market, nearby? read more

Awesome park off central in Naples. Huge bike, walking and running trails over and around the river. Playground for the kids with water play area. Brand New everything. It even has a boat dock for kayaks and canoes. Great place for the whole family. Something for everyone. One of the best parks in Naples. Love this place. So many activities and lots of space. Will definitley be back. We enjoyed the open space and plan to do the 2 mile walk. I also want to see the Naples bay but was only able to visit the jungle gyms and field my first time. I recommend bringing a kite! read more

This park is beautiful; the only thing I have to say is people who visit it, should be looking for garbage, bottle waters left behind, the is plenty of garbage cans all around to be used. If you find something good keep it that way o make it better. read more

Wow. Pleasantly surprised by Baker Park. The area is larger than we thought and offers something for everyone. Bicycles, walkers, kids, dogs, families will all find something. There is a large playground area and an open field for frisbee or other games. Scenic paved trails wind their way along the Gordon River and through the park itself. The trails do connect to the lower part of the Greenway by the airport. It can be rather noisy because of this, but it's tolerable. The plantings are lovely and blend in with the natural feel of the areas behind the park itself. (There are more indigenous plants rather than seasonal flowering ones.) There is a kayak/canoe launch, outdoor exercise equipment, several shaded bbq areas as well as restrooms in case the need arises. We weren't sure if dogs were allowed and so were very pleased to see that many dogs with their owners were out enjoying the great cool sunny Winter weather when we were there. Baker Park is right across from the Dog Park, too, if that is your thing. It would theoretically be possible to connect to Freedom Park from here via the Greenway, as well, if one wanted a longer adventure by bike or even by foot. We will be adding this area to our list of places to go with our dog in Naples. It's great that someone had the inspiration to enrich the lives of the town's residents by creating this public open space. Amazing that a group of dedicated people organized the project and brought so many together to fund it, develop it and make the park a reality. Way to go Baker Park organizers, donors!! This is a fairly new park in Naples, and I decided to take the family to check it out. We were not disappointed. This park exceeded our expectations! The scenery is amazing and there is lots to do, even a play area for the little ones. You can bring charcoal and have a cookout, or walk the various walking paths.
