2,700 acres of natural Minnesota goodness...brought to you by Three Rivers Park District! There's a lot to do & say about this large park but my review is for the paved trail biking that this park offers. We had a glorious bicycle ride on the trails there! Clean bathrooms and scenic views!

Fantastic skiing & groomed regularly. Can get some hot cocoa or tea afterwards, rent skis, ... and if it is rainy in the winter season, sadly, the classic tracks do turn a bit to ice. The skate trails were kept up & the views just beautiful! Part of the Three Rivers District, It has less traffic & the scenery pleases plenty!

Beautiful Setting for Cross Country Skiing. A friend planned a cross-country skiing outing there a few Saturday's ago after the Minnesota weather decided to warm up (albeit only momentarily). I am more of a downhill skier but thought I'd give it a go because I concede to peer pressure, apparently. The rental shop is in the golf center, something that took me a few tries to find. Rental and day passes are affordable - $17 for everything for 4 hours (we got in after 3 but I honestly doubt they're super strict since they didn't seem to check us in and out) The paths are beautiful and accessible for any level of ability (and I was pretty low on that totem poll). Wide paths allowed the more experienced skiers to go around our group while we hobbled along. (Not even close to a) Pro Tip: uphills are great, flat ground is ok and going downhill will leave you shaking in your boots. Seriously - I had to give myself a big ole pep talk each time we came upon a hill of any size. And I've skied out West, like a lot. Cross-country skiing is a completely different beast. Your inner thighs may need a day to rest. I highly recommend the trails at Baker Park for groomed, fresh and beautiful cross-country skiing but leave your ego in your car ;)

Margot and I went here to walk and fish. (Margot does not fish. She is a dog.) I caught one fish and converted it into two tacos.
