Our time in West Virginia was truly fantastic, and the highlight of our stay was Bakers Hill Inn. Nestled in a gorgeous historic home in the heart of Bluefield, this inn offers an experience that far surpasses both hotels and Airbnbs. The caliber of amenities and the graciousness of the host make it difficult to imagine staying anywhere else. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with a level of hospitality that made us feel like royalty, with a genuine sense of our business being valued--something that's increasingly rare these days. Traveling with a toddler can be difficult as it sometimes can be challenging to find a location that is child friendly and even bringing our 2 year old was seamless. Our room was nothing short of perfect. It was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully decorated, offering the warmth of a home combined with the cleanliness often missing from even the best hotels. The view from the third floor, especially from the jacuzzi tub, was breathtaking. The steam shower was a revelation--I'm not sure I can ever go back to a regular shower after this experience. The breakfast at Bakers Hill Inn was another standout feature. Classy and delicious, it was the perfect way to start each day. The attention to detail and the quality of the food added to the overall experience, making our stay even more memorable. Next time we're in the area from New York, we will absolutely be staying here again. read more

We happened to break down on the way to Florida in bluefield west Virginia. I felt lucky because what awesome town to get stuck in. Very family friendly and they even helped get us back on the road by the next morning when our car broke down, She pointed us in the right direction to a mechanic so we could be on our way as soon as possible. The owner took very good care of us. We got a great night's sleep. The beds and pillows were comfy. Everything was clean and we'll kept. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning as well. I loved this bed and breakfast - owner is so kind, finding us a room that would work well for us. Even helped carry in our luggage!!! Easy to communicate with during the planning. We had some special needs. Newly renovated - lovely. The bed was so comfy - quite the respite! Breakfast was delicious - willing to awake and cook early enough for a 7:30 am departure time! Bathroom was equipped with blow dryer - nice walk in shower. Bathrobes supplied - rocking chair in room for reading pleasure! Floors sparkle - chandeliers do too! We found this fantastic Bed and Breakfast by total accident and couldn't have been happier! While driving down to South Carolina from Ohio, our car broke down and was towed to Bland St. Auto (also fantastic) next door to Baker's Hill Inn. The hospitality here was like nothing I've experienced since I don't know when. Lisa went well above and beyond to accommodate us. Great price, incredibly clean, beautiful old mansion! Breakfast was fantastic too! You gotta stay here. Big chain hotels can't compare! We will come back again for a weekend getaway! read more

Heaven--- at the end of my street. Yes, I live several blocks away from Baker's Hill Inn and treated my grandson to a stay; we are in love with the ambiance and the owner and Mr. Baker. We then had to treat our son and daughter- in -law to the experience--because they are B&B fans. I think I have lost them---they want to stay there instead of Granny's. This is a fabulous place to stay! Lisa, the owner, is very accommodating. The room we stayed in was spectacular! The king side bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub and a big shower. The breakfast was just delicious with a hot apple turnover, eggs, bacon, and fresh fruit and cream. In addition she provides complimentary beverages and there are tons of dvds to borrow. It is paradise! read more
