Figured it was worth it as it was getting dark and Beckley is 30 some miles away. The hotel is situated 3 miles from downtown Welsh on Hwy 16 (Stewart Street).It's a very quaint motel. Met the clerk at the motel (who met us at the office since no one is there 24/7) and checked in which was a very easy process. She was very personable and friendly. She informed they recently got a new mayor who is very ATV friendly....which hopefully will boost business. The room was very clean and loved that it included a refrigerator and microwave. The tiled bathroom floor and tiled entry area were pretty sticky and the carpet didn't look completely vacuumed. But overall the cleanliness was good. There isn't a coffee maker in the room but I did notice there is one in the lobby. But since no one is in the lobby 24/7 and it remains locked, I'm not sure how someone would access it. There is WIFI but it was pretty weak...assuming the equipment is in the office and my room was the farthest one away. Overall, it's a cute motel that's comfortable and has most of the necessities. It sure beats driving in the dark on some of these windy roads. Highly recommend!

My coworker checked us in and I was walking in as he was coming out, and she gave the extra effort to tell me where I was going. I appreciated her positive attitude and warm welcome after a very very long day of driving. I was shocked to have a large TV and a nice desk to work at. Shout out to Rodger for cleaning my room and leaving a personalized note. Just goes to show the staff actually care about this place. I would definitely recommend this place to any fellow travelers!

The are several charging ports in the room as well as a charging station in the lobby. You can get continental breakfast from 6am to 9am on weekdays and 7am to 10am on weekends.
