My morning walk at Session Road led me to discover Ili-likha right in the middle of Assumption Road. I was actually looking for a breakfast place and lucky enough, they open at 7:00 in the morning. The facade will instantly generate interest. It appears to be an unconventional multi-level treehouse. Art pieces are placed together in harmony. To simply put it: "Ili" means village and "Likha" means to create. Everything draws inspiration from everywhere: mosaic windows, recycled bottles on walls, carved woods, and painted floors. Even the seats and tables are installed like a contemporary art. The village is also a habitat for healthy eating. It houses different food stalls that serves unique dishes. I ordered Bannoffee Shake and Waffle at Cafe Cueva. The catch is: I only paid Php 100! I also tried the homegrown dish, Balbacua at Urban Camote. It's a soup based meal for only Php60. It's worth adding to your next Baguio itinerary.

I love all the architectural changes that the restaurant has made after the horrible fire they had. Of course the restaurant would have a wonderful ambiance, since the co-founders were artists and creative minded individuals. This is a location where memories are created with an unforgettable dining experience. They proudly served farm-to-table food before the social movement of using local ingredients in food preparation. In fact, the menu changes due to the seasonal fruits and vegetables. I encourage you to ask your server for their recommendations. They will know what's currently popular, and it is a great way to discover new items you might not have considered otherwise. I say that only because I would not have tried the duck pinikpikan, since I remembered how chicken pinikpikan was made. I'm glad we ordered it, because it was the perfect match with the rice that was served with it. The black ink pasta with fish rose cream sauce and crispy tapa are dishes that I'll be ordering again. They've managed to elevate common Cordilleran dishes without compromising its authenticity. The menu is written in Ibaloi but the description is in English. We came here for breakfast. We had the Pak-pako (River-fern salad), the kinuday jen manok , kinuday wrap chicken set and blueberry and ube cheesecake for dessert. The pakpako salad or fern salad is probably the best salad we've tasted in Baguio. The dressing is vinaigrette based I think and it is very refreshing. I was honestly surprised at how good the salad was. It can compete with the Japanese salads I so love here in Vancouver. The stir-fried chicken was very tasty, seasoned just right with a hint of smoky flavour which I loved. It comes with rice and beef soup. The beef soup is very rich reminding me of my grandma's beef soup. The chicken wrap was so good, I enjoyed making flavourful wrap with the fresh salad, chipotle sauce and stir-fry chicken. Then the desserts- ube cake was delicious but the blueberry was another surprise for us. I didn't expect to find this heavenly blueberry cheesecake in this Cordilleran resto. The blueberry is obviously not fresh since we don't grow blueberries in the Philippines but it surprisingly tasted really good. The cheesecake is a mix between the western and Japanese cheesecake in terms of texture. It was just right, not too fluffy, not too dense either. It was very cheesy with just the right amount of sweetness. We liked it so much we ordered a whole cake.
